Hi, u can choose according to your interest. Look at the courses available for mdes and see what would interest you.

I'm not sure if there is a specific course on jewellery design. Maybe an alternative is accessory design.

Furniture design also comes under the department of Industrial design like product design. I don't think any design can be learned in 6 months. It might be a small course but I don't think u will get a degree in that time. Learning design with basics and a good foundation takes time and BDes courses are very good from reputed institutes.

Dear Safwan, I understand your position, it was my best suggestion. It would be hard to know what u would learn in those 6 months. What u do should add value to you and your career right? That's where I'm not sure about 6 months courses, that how much value will one add. Maybe really good maybe not so much, but I could better understand if I see the syallabus for such courses.

I'm not sure of any as of now. StGits has a design program in BDes at Kottayam.

We have to wait on some of the stats from the colleges. As of now there is only one govt college in kollam KSID that offers design courses.

If the companies accept then you can. Companies also simply don't accept designs from anyone, there are teams of engineers, designers and so on who collectively work on projects. Sometimes companies also hire design firms for some of their work. Else if u have your own studio and are a renowned designer then u might have a chance.
