This is why I do my Waits voice speaking to my little cousins - no patronising high pitched cutesy stuff for the little terrors 🤣

Thank you for sharing this Sonja. It is such a blessing to me. I remember your Mother, Donna and her sisters visiting the church i attended in Fredericton, NB, Canada on two ocassions when i was a child in the 1980s. Their witness for Jesus and their music made a deep impact on my life. Bless you.

My daughter (when she was around 6to8 months) and I once danced "Ice Cream Man". That was the very first time that was actually hard make her go to bed. She got it. Same as the little one here!

This child understands the other worldly nature of waits music. Probably reminds him of the sounds he heard from the womb while his mom sat at a train crossing while a long freight went by.

Ha. Thats awesome! My daughter isn't even 2 yet and she does the same damn thing when I crank up some waits. Especially the percussion driven jams. Proves there's hope for the future

My Grandson loves Gene Pitney. Since he was about 3, if I play Gene he would come running, sit down and just listen. He loves the oldies, but especially Gene...

My little Linda was nearly 2, no music on, Linda was humming JUST THE RIGHT BULLETS. Her first spoken words, 5 weeks after Open Heart surgery, leaving hospital American Pie started, long long gone time ago, I can still remember etc. Linda Diamonds on my windshield, she'd say Tears from Heaven. Linda loved Cosmo's Factory by Credence C. R., found her singing Woke up this morning with the sun dial shining in, found my mind in a brown paper bag and then I tripped on a cloud, fell 8 miles high, tore my mind on a jagged sky, JUST dropped in to see what condition my condition was in. Watch baby go mental, Heard it through the GRAPEVINE by C. C. R., 3 mins. in?, film baby dancing too that, or Renagade by Steppenwolf again nearly 3 mins. in, THE MUSIC film that.

That sounds awful, I would not play demonic “music “ at all let alone to a poor innocent child
@frankieRandle87794 жыл бұрын
Ignorance is no defence , listen and learn to appreciate genius .....listen to ‘Invitation to the Blues’ here on KZbin and tell me wait’s music is demonic. I’ve rarely heard such nonsense.

Arythmic jiggling and coos of contentedness, are among the usual and proper responses to Tom Waits.
