I am a 73 year old female, with fibromyalgia. Lost nearly three stone over last 3 years, but now struggling to keep it off. Exercise can be incredibly challenging. I was a runner and swimmer, now walk when I can, and stretch daily. I just can't count calories anymore. I've been vigilant for 3 years. I stopped as of the day before yesterday...when I ordered two of your books and also bought Atomic Habits. I have practiced IV for 4 years 15/9. My calories are down to 1,200. So it's time for an ongoing easy change with all this. I would like to lose 10 pounds over the next year. Plus keep it off. Finding your vids was so refreshing and it just feels right for me to do. Terrified of being over weight again, but had no idea how to going about it. Your system sounds good and achievable, apart from the six miles...I wish. Blessings xx

Each situation is different, however, sometimes people don't comment because they're jealous. Once I started losing weight, no one said anything, but I did notice that they started eating healthier foods and getting more exercise, so they were definitely aware that my body was changing.

ALL THESE FASTING APPS ARE A SCAM🙄🙄‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️, HERES WHY YOU DONT REALIZE YOU FAST WHILE YOU SLEEP SOME LIKE ME DONT EAT BREAKFAST SAY I GO TO BED BY 1am wake up at 10 or 11 am then don’t eat until 2pm that’s EXTREME FASTING I CAN USUALLY GO THAT LONG WITHOUT EATING BUT SOMETIMES ILL START EATING AT 1pm sometimes is I’m extremely busy I won’t eat until 3 pm I know it’s BAD TO DO THIS BUT YOU SEE MY POINT PEOPLE DO FAST WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING IT🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ MORE THAN 15 hours fasting 😁

This Six Miles To Supper youtube feature of I Lost 80 Pounds With Intermittent Fasting has multiple helpful ideas. The feature of how many miles the youtube author walked in conjunction with her intermittent fasting routine also provides further clarity and is very inspirational.

Nothing hard about omad when you can eat whatever you want. Try it on keto. Thats what i have to do. I absolutely will NOT lose weight if i eat carbs 😢.

My issue with the 6 mile goal is it takes the average person about 25 minutes to walk a mile. So that means two and a half hours a day just walking if you otherwise live a sedentary lifestyle like working an office iob. That's a lot of time.

Your story is sooo inspiring, I lost weight on WW a few years ago. And it's slowly creeping back on. This sounds like a program that I can live with. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I wish there was a way we communicate privately, as I do have some questions. I'm not sure if that's possible. I totally understand that you have to be so careful. It seems the world's gone mad. If you have a book that I can buy to get me started, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know where I can get it. Thank you so much for your time. PS, this isn't my 1st go round on the weight loss train. Back in 1987, I went on Dr Stillman's ,quick weight loss diet and lost 110 lbs. It's been a real struggle, through the years. Up and down, up and down. I want to get my weight under control and keep it under control. I wish you all of the best. Peace and blessings to you and your family. 😊🌻

It's cool to know there are other long term OMAD'ers around! I've been doing it for somewhere around 15-20 years by now. I started eating only once a day somewhere in my teens and I'm now 35. And clearly I'm still alive! On occasion I will have two or more meals a day, but I rarely stray from my OMAD pattern. However, I have a messy sleep cycle, so how many hours go between my meals does depend on when I'm awake. So it varies from 15 to 30 hours, but it's still consistently 7 meals per week, for around 48-50 weeks per year. In my experience, it's much more challenging to get all the nutritents you need in a single meal per day. And if you screw up a meal it's not just one meal gone awry, it's a whole day. I also get really cold the last few hours before my meal, like the long fasts seem to cause trouble with body temperature regulation. I always feel "restored" after eating though, so it's not really a big issue. I can just put on a sweater. Another thing to keep in mind that I rarely hear is you gotta drink more water throughout the day. Because for most people, we get most of our fluid from what we eat, but if you only eat once a day, you won't get as much fluid from your meals. I typically need to drink around 2 litres of water per day. I can also say that after having done this for so long, as long as I eat right whenever I do eat, and drink my water properly, I don't have any deficiencies or any other health issues related to diet. As I'm an endomorph this diet helps me keep my weight at or not too far from the healthy range, it helps me control cravings, and I love having so much time for other things than food in my life. I started doing OMAD in my teens because by then I was expected to feed myself and I just thoroughly hated cooking, so I reduced it down to only once a day and quickly found that works great for me. The worst things that I think is linked to the OMAD lifestyle for me, is that it does cause me to have less energy over all, the previously mentioned poor body temperature regulation, and honestly sometimes I get really bad stomach pains for being hungry almost constantly. But my biggest issue is actually the sheer amount of criticism I get for it from friends, family, docs, etc. It's like everyone around me likes to complain about how unhealthy it must be for me to only eat once a day consistently. But honestly I don't think it's really that bad? Seems like it has more to do with what I eat, and what I'm drinking when I'm not eating. Like my coffee, soda and cigarette addictions are probably the bigger issues tbh.
