Mérida is way too hot for me, even during its so-called "cooler" months. There are so many other beautiful, safe, Mexican cities with cool climates, such as San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas (which is also much cleaner, well maintained and cheaper than Mérida).

Last two years I've been back to my home country I discovered Barranco. Lived most of my life in The States. My family has a place in Miraflores near el parque de amor but one day I walked along the boardwalk to Barranceo and it kind of blew my mind. Much more quiet and laid back than Miraflores. I plan to retire next year and spend much more time in Peru. This year I could tell the economy had slowed compared to the year before but your dollars go quite a bit further.

Nice vidéo, i also went to Yokosuka and Dobuita in 2023 to achieve this teenager dream of mine :). It's nice to visit this district which inspired the game and also to see an authentic japanese neighbourhood not reshaped by mass tourism. For future visitors, you should always ask politely if you can take a photo (Shashin o totte mo īdesu ka?) or vidéo (Bideo o totte mo īdesu ka?) ;)
