Merry Christmas to you, Retro Claude!

My celebrations have been extremely peaceful, because I declined going to visit my family, that don’t bother to contact me during the year, but last year I couldn’t think of an excuse quickly enough and stayed with my mother over christmas. She was horrified to find that I was still vegetarian (since 1989) and delighted to feed me innocent things that had added meat (chips cooked in lard, meat in mince pies, etc) “I know you won’t eat turkey so I bought you a slice of ham…” She was also disgusted that couldn’t pee without catheters, and told everyone who came to visit. I’m not weight bearing and use a wheelchair full time, but they had had a new carpet fitted, so I had to leave it in the kitchen and crawl on the floor to the sofa. Instead, this year, I’ve stayed in my new pyjamas, all cosy and warm and played with my craft things and watched KZbin, spoke to no-one and eaten a pot noodle and peanuts! Bliss! I even have a box of maltesers if I want to really push the boat out later!

I have enjoyed this so much, it's also been helpful for me to see how you deal with pacing day to day. It's one thing to read about it but getting to see it in action has been game changing. My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which I've had for 16 years along with CFS. She also has long covid. I've shared your videos with her for her to understand what I've been talking to her about. It's been amazing help, I can't thank you enough!

Accessibility is just such a huge issue isn’t it! I live in Cornwall and in general, Cornwall is not accessible 🤷🏼‍♀️. There’s not a huge amount that can be done about it because of the way the towns and villages have evolved over time, but it’s always appreciated when business owners do the best they can in those circumstances

Being half-German, you need to see the D-Czech Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella from the 60s, cult in German-speaking countries and Scandinavia - costumes are all over the place but it‘s still a must 😂 Merry Christmas!! ✨🎄

TBF most Viszlas take their humans for a walk! You’ll adore It’s A Wonderful Life: I watched my annual films: The Santa Claus Films, A Muppet Christmas Carol and - in a new addition to the roster - Red One (it’s HILARIOUS) and had my usual solo party food, plus hot chocolate and attempted to stop my feline Ginger Ninjas from taking down the tree YET AGAIN. I’m sat here on Christmas morning, having a quiet day, having had my usual panettone and coffee, as is my tradition and opened my Christmukkah gifts from a friend. Merry Christmas Claude and Woody - now back to my first successful pair of Norwegian pattern socks!
