Hello, right side is an illuminator for the reticule. The light enters in a prism and reflect inside the reticule lens. But need to have the light device with battery. The left side is IR filter.

Hello. the most of porro design has the collimation on excentric rings at objectives. For roof desing, we can find collimation on oculars.

Hello. Use a dryer in order to melt the glue. OBS: ONLY DO THAT IF ALL PARTS ARE IN METAL. IF THERE IS PLASTIC, IT WILL BE MELTED TOO. Use rubber to turn the rings.

Sorry, i mean the objective barrel and both contact pieces are made of metal, objective barrel and the prism housing, but there is no glue. The right barrel was quite easy to remove, the left one not at all

I tried to do that. At first it moved with difficulty, so I thought that the dryer might make it move more smoothly, but after it cooled, it became very solid. I tried putting some light grease on it, but nothing happened. Is there a specific place you recommend applying grease to?

Yes , Nikon is very good . Nikon is near from Pentax image in my hobbyist opinion. The problem of some Nikon binoculars, is that many parts are made from plastic.

Old prism needed a polishment, and is very difficut to do that. I had a identic prism, so i prefer change the prism and try the polishment after.

I purchased a set of Zeiss 10x40 but inside the glass is milky . I thought high quality binoculars were supposed to be sealed very well from the outside environment but I guess not.

I provide service and do it by hobby too. There are many high cost binoculars that are not sealed. If this one is sealed by the specification and is milky, i think that the sealing is not working .

Do this, IF THERE IS OBJECTIVE EXCENTRIC RINGS: 1) unscrew one tube, a very little, and see if the image is good. Do it until find the best image. 2) Look the lens place and mark this collimate position . 3) Screw the tube 4) open the outside ring and return the excentric rings until find the collimate position marked before 5) screw the outside ring 6) Perfect image! Do this, IF NOT 1) unscrew a little the ocular rings 2) change the ocular lens position a little. 3) see if the image is good, if not, repeat 2 step 4) re-screw the ocular ring 5) Perfect image! Return to me !

Use the dryer. Heat can loose it. Be careful with plastic parts

Only unscrew, clean and screw again. Image will be good. Dont change the tubes sides. RIght tube in right place, left tube in left place. After work, return to me.

Usually, in roof binoculars, collimation is made in oculars lens. Loose the oculars ring and change the position of lens and try to obtain the perfet image. Or try to see if this roof model has excentric objective. If it has, you can turn the excentric rings of objectives. and try to find the perfect image. Try these methods and return no me.

This model is Schmidt Pechan prism. Generally, Abbe koenig prisms are in long roof Zeiss, Hensoldt, Nikon, Docter, Swarovski,..., binoculars. This model is short, there is no space

You can increase the distance between ocular lens and objective, for try to increase magnification , or buy new oculars with more magnification . For good brightness and contrast , you will need to increase the objective too. If you increase magnification you will lose brightness and contrast, in any situation. I have scopes. I will open it for you.
