@@slugbyte I hope to again one day. The motor is in good shape, but manual brakes and manual steering (1970 family farm truck) need updating for my old, broken, body. Also the carb is old and may not survive another rebuild. I do have a 76 parts truck to get the P/S an front disc brakes +power brakes. It will be far from show truck, but will make me happy to drive/use it again. Sadly, It currently sits and the bottom of a list. You mentioned Dual exhaust. Does this change the sounds? Or is it for the Dual outlet look? I need to look through your videos :)

Probably the best engine Ford ever made. 1965 to 1996. The 240 6 cylinder was just as good. I believe the 240 was made from 1965 to 1974.

It's weird that there's no reverse feed on this... The bigger, more industrial ones, like the Vermeer 6 inch chipper, has a reverse feed, so if something gets stuck, you can use the reverse feed to take it out.

You gotta compare apples to apples. This is a 3in maybe acre or two home use machine that requires prep and patience that comes in under a grand after taxes. The machine you're describing is an entire different level of capacity in workload as well as price. A three day rental on a 6in vermeer in Tennessee will buy the 338 champion. The champion is a good machine but it's a sub grand machine, you get what you pay for.
