I had a question! So I'm gonna get a 15 gallon tank for mine, but I can't find any heating pads that are bigger than 5-10 gallon tanks, do you think that'll be okay? 4:15

Hi, my eastern Herman's Tortoise is going through this. He was seen by a vet yesterday. He is pretty healthy. He is sleeping all the time. It is winter here in Michigan. What about temperature? He is kept indoors. I reason where it needs to be 40°f. I can't give him that. Should I just keep his temperature normally?

I’m looking to get my third hamster and I’ve been keeping the other ones that I’ve had in the past in a large cage, but I’m kind of done with the wires so I’m going to move onto a tank, but I don’t quite have the budget for it so I might move Over the bin method. I’m just worried that my hamster is gonna chew through it. if anybody has any advice on tub cages, I would love it Also, the video is a lot of help. Thank you.

I'm planning on saving two hermit crabs from pet supplies plus in my town. Today. To give them a better life. The hermit crab I had long ago was spoiled. And had lots of space. But it preferred to burrow. I didn't have a friend for it. Probably why.

Been trying to find information everywhere about what to do with my crestie that will not stop biting me. I’ve had Apollo since 2017 and he’s always been so sweet and I’ve worked hard to get him familiar with me but now out of nowhere he will lick my hand a few times then latch down and will not let go. Makes me so sad that I can’t handle my boy anymore and idk what to do 🥲

I feel you, I've had my boy Mr.Fuego for about 2 years and both summers he went through hormones for breeding season however this time he hasn't come out of it and it's the end of December. If your gecko is a boy like mine and it's all out of nowhere it's most likely breeding behavior. What I'm gonna attempt to do is try to simulate winter by shortening his light cycle by quite a bit and maybe put an ice pack above his tank to make it a little bit colder, it's sad when you've had a gecko for so long and you feel like you've bonding with them then this happens. I encourage you to try the method I'm trying and maybe we'll both get our calm geckos back ,good luck!

Merry Christmas Eve 2024 Lori and Patrick. New to your " new" channel. Milo is a blessing! Good to see you with a healthy glow about you. I understand your journey to attain good health. I see you live in TN. Our growing NH zone is 4A. This time last year I was recovering from a serious gall bladder emergency surgery on October 4th. Seventeen days in hospital, touch and go. God had other plans. Doctors said my amazing recovery was partly due to my organic/country lifestyle. Now here I am enjoying my Christmas dinner prep and celebrating getting back to normal for 2025. I have to laugh. You have mini horses. My favorite horse that I owned was 1/2 Percheron! Barn cough is dreaded, I used to drop the bales of hay off the back of the delivery truck to see if any dust kicked up. I can see you are taking really good care of your equines. Nice to have stall mats with pellets to keep the dust down. My horses used to be " knee deep" in clean shavings.

Hi Lori- I also have that Ball canning book. Excellent! Your are doing a great job of sharing your food preservation methods. I have an All American pressure canner. I will share your channel with some of my students because I am not giving workshops at the moment. Currently a year out post-surgical and just feeling normal again. We are a 350 acre family farm in NH, 3rd generation. When time allows I teach rural NH lifestyles from 1920 to 1940. I figure anything that one would need to live a country life, including off-grid, can be found in that time span. On a basic level, mind you. No fancy solar, etc. Just a day in the life snapshot of a 1935 New Hampshire farm wife. We live that lifestyle for the most part, looking like a page out of 1940. It suits us to live, Walton's Mountain style, taking advantage of modern farm equipment and kitchen appliances if they have value, such as my Instant Pot. What state do you live in or are you in Canada? Keep making these helpful videos. I have quite a few neighbors who want to be able to garden, raise a few chickens and learn the ways of our great grandparents. BTY- we raise grass fed Hereford- commercial hay and commercial logging. ~ Diane

Hello Lori from our family farm in Central ⛵⛵ Lakes Region New Hampshire. New Subscriber. I sent your original video of this cook stove to my friend. One year later, how do you like your stove? i restored our great uncle's 1930 Home Comfort kitchen wood stove, which I love. However I would replace it with an airtight if that ever became necessary. I do like the glass front larger fire box on yours. And I like the smaller size stove you chose. If you have an email address I can send you photos of our farm and our stove " Matilda". I look forward to following your channel with interest. Merry Christmas! ~ Diane

I believe they should both be female, males won’t live past about 4 years depending on the species, and males will only molt once when they reach maturity. At least that’s just what I know about pink toes lol!

Our 10 yr old mini schnauzer was diagnosed with hepatic liver disease after a severe infection 8 weeks ago. The vet recommended Royal Canin, but we weren't feeding that to our dog, so did our research and have been home cooking. We bought a cheap veg steamer instead of boiling his veg, as it keeps the nutrients in the food instead of losing the nutrients in the water, which is discarded after cooking. He is fed 3 smaller meals a day (was 4), so his liver is not over loaded in one go, and we always use filter or Evian bottled water for our dogs. Meat consists of turkey mince, pork mince, beef mince, white fish, salmon, sardines. Treats consist of the occasional baby's rice cakes. Suppliments consist of Milk Thistle, SAMe, Vit E, Vit B12, powdered organic egg shell, curcumin. In just 8 weeks our boys liver has shown a "dramatic improvement" in the words of our shocked vet. All the best to anyone dealing with a pet with this condition. 💕

Wonder full video :) I have kept mine for all of the Winter months, CT here. Then put them out in the Warm weather at nights. They r fun and interesting. One early Winter, I had 9 of them. At about 4:30PM each night they would gather over my living room window, on the wall and visit w/ one another. They would change the groups and do visiting. One couple had babies, That was most fun. The babies were so small :) giggle. TY for *YOUR video. ... ps I tend to be a math/science person.

Having a clean barn is a great feeling! You may want to think about lining the interior of the stall wirh 2x4’s, exposed metal is so dangerous. I’ve unfortunately known horses who have injured and passed from injuries from stall injuries involving metal.

We had them lined but they got torn out bc of pests. We havent redone them but our stalls are so big the minis honestly dont mind being in there and they dont kick.

@@LorisHartlandI had a friend with a situation of a horse getting cast and then kicking through, I think that’s more common than just randomly kicking at the wall. Just something to think about. You only have to see something once to never want to see it again.
