I played a p bass with that pre amp back when they were still making them. I saved up, and when I went back it was gone and you couldn’t get the pre anymore. Always wanted one!

I like the tone you're getting. The Markbass helps too. I too usually have flats on the My short-scale basses and have wanted to get one of these, but most the videos I've seen the players keep their right hand over the Bridge Pickup giving it a wonky tone. Thanks!

Hi, Tim. I realize this is about 4 months old, and I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times already - BUT, I just noticed that this isn't just a demo, but you mentioned you're actually selling your Joe Dart roasted velvet bass. Any chance at all that it's still available? Thanks so much.

I just bought the 4 string version, and a PJB Double Plus. Getting back into bass after many years (25) away. Many years now just on guitar and keys. Bought without playing, so a little anxious about the short scale of the four string. Yours is multi of course, but it sounds good to my ringing ears.

I feel like these basses have a different pickup voicing than the standard SLO Stingray or the Stingray Specials. I own both and they too have a slightly different tone but close to each other. These seem to have a more "woody" tone rather than the Stingray growl. I like it a lot - Sounds great, looks great too. Enjoy that beauty my friend.
@timsarter56228 ай бұрын
They do for sure. I think the Sterling Pickup makes a difference, but the light, open roasted ash body and roasted maple neck are really what give it that tone. I love it, but am selling it. www.talkbass.com/threads/video-demo-added-ernie-ball-joe-dart-in-roasted-velvet.1650165/#post-28423170
