I just bought the 4 string version, and a PJB Double Plus. Getting back into bass after many years (25) away. Many years now just on guitar and keys. Bought without playing, so a little anxious about the short scale of the four string. Yours is multi of course, but it sounds good to my ringing ears.

I feel like these basses have a different pickup voicing than the standard SLO Stingray or the Stingray Specials. I own both and they too have a slightly different tone but close to each other. These seem to have a more "woody" tone rather than the Stingray growl. I like it a lot - Sounds great, looks great too. Enjoy that beauty my friend.
@timsarter5622

They do for sure. I think the Sterling Pickup makes a difference, but the light, open roasted ash body and roasted maple neck are really what give it that tone. I love it, but am selling it. www.talkbass.com/threads/video-demo-added-ernie-ball-joe-dart-in-roasted-velvet.1650165/#post-28423170

I'm legitimately impressed you were able to get perfect intonation on this. On mine I just settled for "good enough" because it was such a pain to set up with the wooden saddle! That being said, I do like the way the flats sound on this bass. I've always had rounds on mine but I might make the switch to flats now.
@timsarter5622

Flats work great on Danos- I recommend them. Yes, I don’t know if I got really lucky with internation, but it was spot on. I actually sold that one, but I have another one now that has a replacement bridges very easily adjustable. Let me know if you’d like to see it. It might be a hipshot?

Sounds like a piccolo base because the string deflection from that fan fret. I think it could be a gimmick. Everything sounds like it's a piccolo base or it's a slap sound which is an effect kind of like a sitar I think these fan frets are a trend good to have a couple of them around.
