Lovely to hear " his first breath " Super piece for the Bari , well played Emma it's quite a blow for a 2nd bari , i know , I've played it a few time myself but that was really good solo .....keep going you have a good solid sound there .

We use to play this piece at Yeovil Temple Salvation Army and its one of my memories and to hear The Fairey Band play it just great .

I played this with the Georgia Brass Band when we won the 1st Division back in ‘06. Those rests, syncopation sequences in the middle are no joke!

Why do brass band soloists play with so much vibrato? Is it the accepted style that no one questions or a competition to produce the most bowel-loosening wobbly notes? ;-) Otherwise, the band sounds tight with excellent drumming!
