I know how you feel. I got my heart ripped out -- on my 20th birthday, no less -- when the Red Sox lost Game 7 of the World Series to the Mets in 1986. The suffering didn't end until exactly 18 years later, on my 38th birthday, when Boston won their first World Series title in 86 years. I live in Virginia now so while I'm a Patriots' fan first and foremost, I was rooting for the Commanders on Sunday. You're right, the Lions were the better team -- but it's the "any given Sunday" phenomenon. They got outplayed that day by an inferior football team. It happens. But you guys will be back and at some point the Lions will hoist that trophy. Hopefully you won't have to wait until your 38th birthday -- and my guess is, you won't have to. The Lions have a solid quarterback and a strong core, when healthy, on both sides of the ball. The only wild cards are the two coordinator positions. Detroit needs to conduct those searches very carefully and find the guys who mesh well with the current staff and play to the team's strengths. Thanks for the video -- you did a nice job.

Here's the thing about Detroit: the fact that their defense was so battered made it impossible for the offense to afford mistakes. Lack of ball security really screwed Detroit against the Commanders. Unless you're playing Brandon Staley's Chargers, you're not gonna win anything with a -5 turnover differential. that being said....at least we can all laugh at the Cowboys for now having the longest active NFCCG appearance drought? Might be the only thing keeping some Lions fans sane at this point
