Visited it in '84. Two things struck me, just how cramped it was and an almost complete lack of privacy for the crew. Was amazing to visit a boat that had served in the war, and taken down a number of the enemy's ships. What courage the officers and crew must have shown.

When my ex and I toured this submarine back in 2000, we were the only two people there. It was a lot of fun. I remember it smelling of diesel.

James Perez P I think it was named for the pompano fish. But pampanito is Spanish (small species of pampano).

Unfortunately, we couldn't go directly to the bridge. The staff told us that there's a channel on the Disney Cruise TV. The video or rather the bridge was so great that I took 2 live photos 😊 The cruise was terrific 🤩
