Was nutzt mir das Wissen darüber jetzt?

@11:35 Z-axis calibration. I guess the probe (Pro3) has no idea where the nozzle tip is, so I can't understand why the probe would make it any easier to calibrate Z clearance? The probe only knows the clearance between the probe and the bed, not between the nozzle tip and the bed.

A very very bad way to use this printer. Sun is not blocked, you use hard tools to clean the FEP, Alcohol not covered. Base of the printing platform just confirms the way you use it. Not recommended.

what is print width (how thin a section can it print), how small a hole can it print? what is smallest layer thickness?
@AMAcademyBayreuth
@AMAcademyBayreuth Жыл бұрын
Print width and smallest hole both depend on your nozzle and slicing settings. If you use a 0.4mm nozzle and set the extrusion width to 0.4mm, the thinnest wall will be 0.4mm. As for smallest layer thickness, it allows you to set it all the way down to 0.05mm, but then the print is so slow it's unbearable. I would recommend keeping layer height between 0.1mm for fine printing and 0.3mm for rougher (but faster) prints.

@@froggymountain It should generally be able to. You can always send the part to a service provider that uses the printer you want and have them print it for you. That way you can check whether it can do what you want without having to buy the printer.

Is Raise Pro 3 Plus able to use Ultrafuse filaments BASF to make metal parts?
@AMAcademyBayreuth

Yes. However, you may want to come up with a way to have the metal filaments hanging above the printer, rather than putting them on the side, as the stiff filaments don't like being bent that much.

Yes it can. BASF has used the Pro3 themselves as well. However, due to the abrasive and difficult nature of metal filaments, some parts may wear out faster than normal. Additionally, metal filaments should be suspended above the extruder, as they don't like flexing in the filament tubes so much. You can have a look at the Forge1, Raise3Ds 3D printer that is specifically designed for metal printing. Obviously that doesn't make sense if you only print one or two metal parts a year, but if you print a lot of metal it could be interesting!

How would you compare this to the Mark Forged Onyx Pro (Gen 2)?
@timmeybt
@timmeybt Жыл бұрын
You should compare the E2CF with the Onyx One. The Pro offers continuous (glass-) fiber. That is something different. With the Onyx One you just have one material. So a very closed system. But I have not used these machines, so I can't give you more feedback.

If I glued to the Raise bed and left bubbles, how do I get them off? I tried using the roller but some just don´t go away.
@AMAcademyBayreuth
@AMAcademyBayreuth Жыл бұрын
The roller and more force is my first recommendation. Sometimes heating up the bed, then taking it out of the machine and trying to roll out the air is also an option. Due to the heat the air expands and that makes it a bit easier. As a sort of last resort, you can try and use a needle to puncture the surface in the middle of the bubble to let the air out - but I haven't tried that myself yet so I can't guarantee how well it works. Depending on the size of your bubbles you can also just try printing with them still there - maybe they don't matter much for the final result. This is obviously only the case for fairly small bubbles. The absolute last resort is to buy a new sheet of adhesive and trying to do it again, this time without bubbles.
