I am a numismatist, and I had an Alexander the Great coin just like this from my father. These types of coins can still be found through the dealers in Istanbul.

Used to work for Olivetti typewriters as a mechanic on site back in the 70's. That's 1970's. It was well known that the IBM selectric was the best and most reliable electric typewriter on the planet. Olivetti's sucked!!!

I remember Edward Mondello when he was the organist as I lived in Hyde Park until I was 22 and joined the Air force and actually had a paper route when I was in grammar school. I have attended several performances as I was growing up on both the organ and the carillon.

Skinner is second to none.. the French horn is the crown of skinners..what a reed..skinner built. And many other voices..skinner made ..in the 1920s 30s..great video. Here..glad to see this organ is playing each day....costly maintenance each year prohibits some churches to continue with there's and simply sell or remove there's all together.. my former church had a em.skinner, they bought from a nother church in cleavland, oh .in the late 1970s ..it was a hodge podge..of a mess .opus 487..from the get go...somone came in and said they can put new pouches on each rank..well ..short story they trashed it .and it's was done in do your homework ..its an art of a craftman..who know there craft.. the church was duped..Sadly..thousands of dollars lost. The new organ installed in yr 2001 has some old skinner pipes in it cut down, pedel.and in the swell box 3 ranks saved. Installed in Martin ott..organ .as I recall..today
Totally captivated by this interview clip, what a career to have!! In the background 2:00 you can see gold was at 1400, platinum 1700, palladium 700...wild how that's changed..

I started playing pool five years ago. I enjoyed listening to your thoughts about the game. Your “philosophy” about the game, is very much like my own. It’s about having some FUN. I’m still learning but always having fun. I’m 73 and the game makes me smile! Thank you for sharing your insight.

I love my Venus harp! Their semi grand is smaller than my Salvi concert grand but is made better, weighs less and the sound is comparable. Of course they make full sized concert grands but I worked too much to lug one of those around all the time. Way to go VENUS!

Us REAL SKATERS back in the day, we went to HOT WHEELS on Chicago Ave and Pulaski. THATS where you went to LEARN how to SKATE! they didn't call it the CONCRETE JUNGLE for NOTHING. Some of the best skaters on the PLANET honed their skills there. And the best skating group, was DISCO WHEELS! they were UNREAL! Led by By Disco Mike, Poochie, Dale, Steve and Christine, they looked like ice skaters on Roller skates.
