You are so right about that, my experience with that crap was the same as yours. Good video 👍

I have about 20 of these that are mature on my property. I went a bit overboard. The best description of the flavor of the fruit I've seen is "lemon and gin", That is, bitter and lemony, but mixed with a bit of a skunky/resiny flavor. I've used the juice in place of lemon juice, made jam with the juice. It's definitely an acquired taste. Your best choices for edible cold hardy fruit would probably be kumquat, citrangequat, satsuma mandarin. (the last one would need to be protected under 20F or so)

I have three of these and it absolutely is amazing for square foot gardening save so much space and utilizes space to grow companion / intensive garden where you grow a lot more in less space minimum weeds

The previous owners of our land planted bamboo and it feels impossible to get rid of 😭 I’ve taken a few down to use but they grow so fast. I really need to research how to get rid of it without poison bc it is taking over everything

Loved the visual. Consider using colored chalk for the different flowers for an even prettier visual. I'm a novice when it comes to planting, i appreciate the information.

You can use it as lemon substitute, it's actually quite flavorful except it's extremely acidic. And you can also use it to solve coyote problem too. Just plant them as if you were to fence your property. It'll keep all critters and even kids from crossing into your property.

Welp I live in Louisiana and it’s just so muddy in the back. We just put a bunch of it. But no fabric just on the dirt after leveling. Hoping it’ll help a bit with the mud 🤣 it’s so bad the grass won’t even grow lmao

Hello there. When tackling this for the first time, do I use Koppertox instead of the SugarDine and keep the remaining process the same i.e. Kopperdox, cotton pad, vet wrap and duct tape and only replace the Kopperdox with SugarDine after a couple of weeks? Thanks
@iwak-us1Ай бұрын
This video felt dishonest. Sure those fabric would have weed grow overtime, but u present it as if without it you wouldnt have weed grow through the rock. Its just as nightmare as the stone will also get dirty on top of it.

I put white stones down with netting. The stones mixed with the dirt and became a mess of stones weeds and dirt. I agree the netting didn’t help ,but what’s next?

Landscaping fabric is terrible stuff. For all the reasons you give, and also, it breaks down after a while and the pieces become either permanently rooted into the ground, or, start flying off and creating a real rag tag looking section/yard. I will never touch it again!!!

Another plant that works well for this purpose is giant miscanthus. They are sterile and only spread slowly, but grow 12 feet tall every year while producing a very sturdy cane.

Out here in SoCal, we have reseeding sunflowers. They are a year-round provider of food and shelter for backyard birds, and they provide me with dozens of poles. I even use them to weave barriers in my raised beds. Green on! 😊

Believe I will stick with harvesting my bamboo. After all I have almost an acre of that! Wish it was gone! Can't cut enough to get rid of it. There are Asian people who come harvest young shoots every spring. They refuse to cut all the new ones. They say they must leave some to help next year's crop. They want it to keep coming back. 🤷

To anyone from Europe wondering: These are Topinambur (name may be slightly different in your european language) or jerusalem artichoke. 😄 It seems "sunchoke" is a term mainly used in North America, epsecially the USA and Canada and it was a marketing term from the 20th century used to make it more appealing to customers and to make clear it's not related to globe artichokes.

Your soooo RIGHT sista. My husband is a landscape architect and he says the same thing. GEOFABRIC is designed to stop silts from moving into rock etc with layering geology. Not for weed control.
@jenniferclarke36222 ай бұрын
Just give it another season or two. Landscape fabric doesn't work long term but I guarantee you will be grovelling around on your knees weeding regardless. Weeds will always find a way. I used a thick layer of cardboard and topped it with a good layer of shredded bark mulch. I still get weeds but they come out easily with a screwdriver.
