When rigging it on the line, loop the line true the tube once. That way it won't slide up and down. I myself use two tubes, looped line in both. That way I know for sure that the stick stays put and won't fall off when hitting a big one. Last thing you want to do is add more plastic and chemicals in our already polluted oceans/waters.

I can in fact tell you that it is effective. No video of it though myself, but there are several videos on KZbin where people used these similar techniques with succes. Cheers.

Very interesting. You certainly had a good catch. In the early 1980s I used to do wreck fishing between Weymouth and the channel isles. We were after conger. I recall we had one good day with 1400 lb of conger.and had a nice write up in our local paper when I lived in Swindon. Anyway, excellent video with clarity and content.May all your catches be big ones. You have certainly brought back memories. Thanks.

I bought two of these and both only lasted 1 trip, the level winds are rubbish, both failed and caused reels to jam, just had to strip reels and remove levelwinds, not heavy duty at all, take on apart and have a look, durable?? not!

Very nice day's fishing by the looks of the catch, I havn't been wrecking in a couple of years now and just been doing alot of general fishing and seeing this makes me really wanna book up a good wrecking trip for me and the club. What's the prices for the day ? General we are paying around £280-350 and wrecking anything from £400-650 depending on boat etc. Well done guys not enough cod about anymore but you lot found them :-)
