Very real life fight no frills

Could you elaborate? I'm interested. I'm just getting into martial arts cinema recently (watched Kill Bill, Bloodsport, The Protector 1 and 2, Enter the Dragon, Oldboy if you count that one) and I'd love some perspective on the topic of social minorities in the medium

@@Maggotbone ok, the main character masquerades as a man (and her small compatriot refers to her as "brother" in the English overdub) after being wounded in a skirmish brought against her father by a team of bandits; I think there is an allegiance of different bandits coming togrther to do so, too. She is rendered blind, and becomes a wine thief; drinking helps to restore her vision by getting drunk and weeping, as she's crying poison out from her eyes; this is the source of her wound. Yet she isn't the only vision-impaired fighter! There's another seeking vengeance, an old crone woman bandit (5-fingers Lady Wei, maybe?). Other bandits: Poison Dwarf, an LP who blew the darts in the main hero's eyes, back when she was still a She, and the One-armed Bandit who is an amputee with a retracting blade where a forearm goes. One of the allies of the hero is a laborer (Hammerhead) who is mute (and therefore mistreated by many others) ...but he pounds in spikes with his bare hands!! Now while sensationalism / tokenism may be at play since this IS a film from the 70s, you can definitely see feminist concerns within the protagonist's struggle, including a rejection of the feminine for the masculine after wounding. Also issues of class, as the hero's father was a wealthy influencer--but she goes rogue beggar after her wounding... The tragedy in the conclusion shows the hero's paramour, trying to win/steal her heart (and witnessed her wounding) is actually the one who organized all the bandits together against her father's house IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS movie is the Best KungFu take on "Love Is Blind" imo!!
