Is it really that risky to rent a car in winter? I am goin in mid March and was planning to take some 4x4 SUV. I am only visiting the south part of the ring road to get to the Ice cave tours starting from Jokulsarlon

Hi! First of all, thanks for this amazing info! I would like to take my drone with me (249gr), but I am afraid this is a windy place so.. any thoughts? :) Also did you or someone find any place to let your belongs (drone included) when at beach? Thanks in advance!
@jacklawsontravel
@jacklawsontravel 3 ай бұрын
Thank you! It can be windy but it's all weather dependant like anywhere else. Yes most beaches are private so you hold these in lockers, plus there's some bag drop offs in most towns where you store your things.

Little budget tip, Minori is on Amalfi coast well connected, and you can find cheaper hotels there than in Sorrento, also i booked two night there and other nights in Agerola( which was around 200$ per person for 6 days!) very cheap and also the bus is well connected. I would also suggested Salerno, town on opposite side of Amalfi, its well connected and cheaper, has supermarkets, bars, restaurants, little less touristy than Sorrento

My son spent a week there when it was still fairly new, volunteering doing everything from walking up to the mountain village with the elephants, chopping food for them to eat, shovelling waste, making rice balls, sleeping in the open. It was life-changing for him and it continues to be an exemplary beacon that continues to rescue elephants and other animals and caring for them with love. ENP is amazing and Lek and Darrick Charlett are known world wide as ethical and tireless advocates for compassion and respect for all species.

11:17 That is Medo, my favourite old girl. She's about 50 years old now. Before she was placed into forced breeding, her leg was actually broken in an illegal logging accident when she was very young. It never got proper medical attention so it did not heal correctly. Then in the breeding facility, an aggressive male attacked her when she would not allow him to mount, dislocating her hips. Again, no real medical care. After that, she was basically considered a worthless elephant, useful only for occasionally hauling heavy loads. At ENP, her health is closely monitored and she does not appear to be in pain. She is obviously slower than the other elephants but she's unstoppable. Medo still plays and bathes, has a couple close friends.

Hi Jack, I was looking at those places you recommended but I think I need to stay closer any other hotel recommendations? We just stayed for 2 nights in London in April. we will arrive at London Heathrow at 10AM and we will see the ABBA show at 7:30PM. On the second day, we just want to walk around see some attractions, and eat at some popular restaurants. On the third day, we will take a train to Amsterdam from St Pancras International at 8 AM. Any hotel that i can take a quick subway to St Pancras and ABBA

@@timnguyen1925 I mean Fulham and Richmond are super well connected via the District Line and London Overground. but Abba is out east which is far away from there. My only other suggestion which is still pretty central would be Highbury (north) or Shoreditch (east). Shoreditch is the most interested but is still fairly central so might still be pricy but no way near as the standard areas. Remember the public transport in London is amazing and you can get to anywhere pretty fast. I have a video on seeing a lot of the major sites in one walk, which given the time you have would work well for you. You can view this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moHXpaucaLCeq7c

Hi Jack, I am also going to visit Croatia 5 days and 4 nights in late April. Arrive at ZAG at 9AM. Rent a car and drive to Old Town and spend half a day there then drive to Plitvice Lake to stay close to the Park. Next morning I will go to see the park, after I am done I will drive to Zadar. Should I stay there one night or just spend some time there and then Drive to Split. I am debating whether I should one night in Zadar or Split. Because I want to spend one full day in Dubrovnik before flying home
