Stunningly beautiful performance by American baritone Thomas Lehman and pianist John Parr at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. An important and powerful new work, I would think. Congratulations to all.

Thanks AJ! It's got a vibe straight from our heyday in San Francisco. This is the middle movement (palette cleanser) of the Seventeen Minutes project and it's modeled on the Bach C Major Prelude (play a motive, repeat it twice, then improvise). This was me playing it straight through on the piano the very first time - expected rough edges but I confess I like it!
