Personally, I haven't had any issues with my motor, I'm not aware of any known issues apart from seeping oil near the heads, which mine does. I think you should really enjoy these bikes before considering the big bore kits, as there are better bikes to be had for the money. As for long term use I've had my big bore kit installed for nearly two years and it's still going fantastic.

I haven’t really had any dramas with braking since I got rid of the original pads, but I love how it rides now, have you dyno tuned it? Yes, both bikes are fantastic, I have installed a quick action throttle on my Interceptor now, and the performance is getting close to my old man's T120 Triumph. The T120 is still a more powerful bike, but having access to full throttle on my bike has made the gap much closer now. No I haven't had a ride on the T100, I would like too. I'm also a big fan of Triumph's. I ride my old man's T120 and is a far better bike than my Interceptor. But it fails to do one thing.... It doesn't put a massive smile on my face like the Interceptor does. It's still a lot of fun to ride and the T120 is a stock standard bike and some mods to it would change that (most likely) Both brands of bikes are very good in what they offer. My point here is we all get caught up which bike's has more power, which one go around a corner faster...etc..and I'm guilty of that myself but at the end of the day it's about enjoying the ride and the machine and that's why in the near future I'll be upgrading from the 865(Big smile) to the 950(Even bigger smiles). There was a few reason's i did the upgrades with the Interceptor. 1 to try the keep up with dads bike. 2 to over take cars safely. 3 When i get my full license I'll would have gone from a 650 to 1200 (T120) so the 865 is the half way point. I bought an GN250 to do the test for the next step for my motorcycle license, Its the biggest piece of sh@t but for some reason i love riding it so go figure LOL.
