What if I have pink spotting and a positive pregnancy test a week after my period? I've also peed a lot today and it's been hard to hold. I normally start my period 2-3 days into the placebo pill. Well this didn’t happen. I am also experiencing constant cramps that get really painful especially on my left side. Also the worst lower back pain. I tested and got a positive. I’m on birth control so a pregnancy isn’t wanted and since taking it at 10PM. My urine was diluted but still got a positive. I then took another pregnancy test with my first urine of the day the very next day and got a negative test. The cramping is still there as well as the back pain. No bleeding. Can you have a chemical pregnancy and have dropping HCG levels before you start your period? I’m only currently 4 days past my missed period and been having consistent cramping for days. That got worse within these last few days. Will talk to my doctors since they’re open tomorrow as well as getting more pregnancy tests.

Don't have time to read through all the comments but people with certain blood clotting issues will also have recurrent chemical pregnancies. So it is NOT always something wrong with the the egg/sperm. If there is not enough bloodflow to the uterus implantation will fail just like if there is severe estrogen/progesterone imbalance. I have low vitamin k which led to low protein s and c which causes clotting resulting in less blood flow to the uterus (this is commonly found in people with sjogrens and lupus, however mine's aquired and a long story). I lose my babies between 4 to 8wks. Of course there could be many causes of early miscarriage but don't allow a specialist to tell you that it's always natures way of naturally aborting a non viable pregnancy. It could just be that your body is amiss in certain nutrients or chemicals required for a healthy womb/implantation. I've had at least 3 to 4 and pretty sure I'm in the middle of another one. Not exactly trying to conceive anymore but it happens and as a women, we know when something's gone on in there.
