Some facts about Mount Kinabalu,, it's the world's tallest granite mountain on island, the tallest summit is actually the Victoria Peak (estimated height of 4,1++m) instead of it's famous peak to the public, the Low's Peak

sorry can't be much help, we actually both did it in trainers since it was a spontaneous hike! But we were both fine in them

@kathleenwesley4269 Not sure how experienced you are, but trekking poles are highly recommended as they can save your knees during descent. Clothing wise, for the summit, 3 layers top: 2 layers of polyester t-shirts (avoid cotton since it retains water), plus an outer wind breaker with hood, and gloves. If you're really afraid of cold then add one more polyester layer. Temperature at Laban Rata (the place where the restaurant and hostel are) is usually around 0-10 degree C at 2am, and the coldest is at the summit base while waiting for sunrise. Once the sun is out you'll be fine. Bring disposable raincoat (not to dispose there but because they are light weight) since Dec is during monsoon season. Also bring enough water and some energy snacks (e.g. chocolates/nuts/raisins/etc.) to eat along the way. If you bring nuts there is a rest area along the way where you can feed the squirrels and have some fun with them. Sleep early in the evening around 8pm, as you'll need to wake up at 2am for the summit. Hope you'll have fun up there.

Hai.. I'm from Sabah. Super beautiful view. I climbed here before the earthquake. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures or videos at that time. I couldn't afford a camera at that time. Until now, I haven't climbed Mount Kinabalu yet. Congratulations to you for conquering Mount Kinabalu. Your video is very beautiful.

Hello :)
This is a travel program directing team broadcasting in Korea. We aim to give satisfaction to many travelers who are restricted from traveling abroad due to the COVID-19 situation with great videos.
In preparing for the Thailand episode this time, I have a request to show the viewers a wonderful look of Thailand. Could you please allow us to use your KZbin channel’s videos on our broadcast screen along with the source?
I look forward to your positive consideration. Thank you!

Hey guys, thanks for the video. How often did the police stope you during your trip? I do not have an international driving permit (just local from my country). However, I still considering to make a Mae Hong Son Loop.

From Laban Rata (the place where the restaurant and the hostels are, at 3200m) to the summit (4096m) is not really that tough in terms of vertical climb, it's tough in terms of altitude. It starts with a series of stairs climbing, then traversing a cliff face (it used to be bare traversing which was a little dangerous, but nowadays they put in wooden stairs so it's ok). After that you'll reach a plateau which is not very steep, until you reach the bottom of the summit, follow by some rock scrambling to reach the top. Temperature wise it will be cold, with Laban Rata's temperature at about 0-10 degree C around 2pm, and coldest when you're at the bottom of the summit due to the wind if you reach there before sunrise. Once the sun comes out you'll be ok. The usual recommendation for clothing is a 3 layers top: 2 layers of polyester t-shirts (avoid cotton since it retains water), plus an outer wind breaker with hood, and gloves. If you're really afraid of cold then add one more polyester layer. Bring disposable raincoat (not to dispose there but because they are light weight) if you're climbing close to monsoon season.
