CPAs do not have to get a license for every state they practice in. Most states have CPA Mobility Laws.

over priced and the format isnt really for people who arent experienced in taxes .. they explain things out of order sometime; they touch on a topic and use references that werent previously explained .. honestly the irs website simplifies the content

You allow Turbo Tax to advertise on your channel? Not too smart.

I don't think they can pick and choose, haha. Advertisements are actually designed to cater towards the viewers preferences.

What software do you recommend?
@thetaxschool3 жыл бұрын
Choosing professional tax preparation software will depend on what type of tax returns you will be preparing and what you can afford. You can choose anything from a simple pay-per-return package, to a basic tax software package that will enable you to prepare simple returns, to a very advanced tax program that will allow you to prepare all types of tax returns with many bells and whistles. Here is recent blog post that can help you narrow down your options: www.theincometaxschool.com/blog/tax-preparation-software-for-independent-tax-business-owners/

Thank you so much for this video. I can now cross Surgent off my list of materials to ever buy. Your right/wrong answer explanation is just awful. 14:40 -- You don't explain why the wrong answers are wrong, or why the right answer is right. You just cut and paste related pub text.

Yes. My decision to become a tax professional was the best decision ever. Ty was my instructor when I was becoming an EA. When I found out she was a MilSpouse like me, the skies were opened up! Can totally relate to that whole resume thing. Great story.

1. Sending out a questionnaire beforehand would save time and make sure that the client brings what is required. 2. This was a new client and at no time did I see that the preparer asked to see a photo ID. That's a no-no. 3. Don't think I heard him ask if there were other dependents, apart from the two children. Maybe I missed that bit. 4. Apart from the above, quite a good video although I did have occasional trouble understanding some of the speech.

@thetaxschool which system to do you recommend to use for filing taxes for clients?
@Gladiator19728 жыл бұрын
what not have the client just complete a basic information questionnaire instead of asking them.
@thetaxschool8 жыл бұрын
+Gladiator1972 Good question! A basic information questionnaire is always a great tool to have handy. This video is meant to show our tax school students the proper way to complete an interview including detailed questions and mannerisms. Having a questionnaire is a great way to make sure you don't forget anything and it can help move things along more quickly. This video is a tool for our students, so they can see what a client interview should look and feel like. Thanks for your comment.

Most preparers are corrupt? If that was the case the IRS wouldn't allow third party tax preparation. As it is the IRS encourages it because they believe it improves overall tax administration. So, you're just plain wrong about that. Now, a lot of people can and perhaps should do their own tax returns, but that's a personal choice, and much dependent on many specific factors. Would you tell someone who was truly lousy at arithmetic to do their own tax return? Some friend you would be.

I'm 19 years old and I'm taking a course in income tax to be a tax pro. I was just hired to work as one this upcoming tax season! I'm excited. It feels as if the opportunities to better oneself is rather large with this career.

If I may ask, how did the whole income tax pro thing go?
@marving62148 жыл бұрын
+ingrid elias I definitely enjoyed my experience! I will be working this tax season as well. A lot of the things I learned while preparing taxes is truly practical and can be applied to my own life. Taxes never go away, ya know. You also have to realize it's a lot of customer service within this job as well. People come to do there taxes sure, but it's probably a lot better if they a tax pro they can call a friend. Sometimes is a bit boring to be in a office all day, but overall I still enjoyed my time. :)

Is a Tax Professional gain good experience in Accounting and Financial Statements ,and Is a big gap between Tax and Audit ? Thanks in advance
@morehn4 жыл бұрын
@@ibrahimabdallah9070 I just graduated from a master's in accounting and I can tell you from my education that there is barely any connection between tax and audit. Tax is what you pay to the government based on your income. Audit is how you present your income to investors based on GAAP or GAAS rules. Very different rules how to present income and what is considered an expense or deduction to reduce the stated income.
@xjyoyo4 жыл бұрын
Elies Maybe it’s worth looking into tax effect accounting. Here in Australia, most Tax pros need to prepare proper financial statements before doing business income tax return, which actually has relations with accounting standards and financial accounting
