French ivory is actually not ivory; it is vintage celluloid.

Great video. I don't think you're probably pearly carved bracelet is Bakelite I have never seen pearly Bakelite. It might be a different kind of plastic that they used formaldehyde to make though.

I have a vintage carnival chalkware from 1930s that you would win a prize at the carnival. Its a red bird on a branch with glitter on it 3 different colors that was air sprayed. I think its worth $50.00.

I'm confused… the Lucite items appear transparent rather than translucent. Translucent is semi-transparent. More foggy but almost see through.

When I met my girlfriend three years ago, I noticed her collection of milk glasses. I thought they were absolutely beautiful, I could not believe the designs and detail. Long story short, my own personal collection three years later, I have over 300 pieces. I love finding pieces that are rare and almost impossible to find.

I have a 3 pc hurricane lamp from either the 70s or 80s in the same color and pattern as the little boot you showed. Would you have any idea what’s it’s worth? It’s been in a box for at least 40 years. No damage. I had no idea it was Fenton until I saw this video. I checked under the shade and there it was; a signature in red from the painter!

Hi. Very educational video! Thank you! Could you help me sort out one of the cameos? I can't identify the material. If it's not difficult for you, please take a look, perhaps you know what material this cameo is made of. Here is a link to my cameo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnW7fWh7lJ6NnKc Thank you very much for the help!

Several other companies made similar looking pieces. They are not all Namadji. Namadji Pottery was primarily aimed at the tourist trade, using designs similar to old Ojibway designs. It is not made by Native Americans! The clay often came from other parts of the country. Still It is beautiful. Please do a lot of research because there is a lot of confusion and misinformation regarding this particular pottery.

8:24 your video is great right away I just want to let you know that I love it, and I love your demonstration and breaking down video, but I have a carved yellow orange, kind of a more of a orangey tone, but not completely pumpkin kind of like a butter scotch Ambre anyway what I want to know is how can I tell if it’s not plastic?
