👋 Hi. I remember the Bay City Rollers back in the 1970s. I was a teenager . 1974 through to 1978 they had hits. One of their biggest being Saturday Night, which topped the American Billboard charts at the beginning of 1976. I liked Give a little Love 1975 . I was fifteen then.
@shelveyrock3753 ай бұрын
@@Carl-x8y3c I’m also old enough to remember the Bay City Rollers back in the 70’s. Here in the UK they had hits from 1971 to 1977. ‘Saturday Night’ was released as a single in the UK, but they had 2 number ones here, ‘Bye Bye Baby’ and ‘Give A Little Love’.

@shelveyrock375 Yes , the Bay City Rollers were huge in the UK. My sister went to their concert here in Auckland New Zealand. They toured here in 1976.

I know, sadly Mick Avory was sick and couldn’t make this performance.
@andrewjames99963 ай бұрын
@@shelveyrock375 Mick Avory has been poorly throughout most of the tour, he is now 80 years old. Jim Rodford is still very good though. At least KOK are cheap to see though, it's just a fun night out. Since Rod Argent had a stroke Zombies have called it a day. If Mick Avory passes the torch to Dave Clarke he can do what he likes but he will keep the Kinks legacy going. Ray and Dave only seem to do guest appearances at fan club meetings or when they are promoting something, I don't think Ray will tour again sadly. Dave is just his own man and happy to be a recluse.

@@janicelehane6373 Indeed it is very sad that Dave and Jet have passed away, but for those that love live music, going to see a band with only one original member is far better than any tribute band. It’s just a shame that JJ and Hugh can’t settle their differences, as it would be great to see the two of them sharing the same stage belting out those fantastic Stranglers songs.
