The final days started where the Aether was the weakest, but the strongest in Dynamis. With a hopeful leader like Galool Jaja, I think they got things handled for a bit. However... that doesn't mean that someone might've fell to despair over grapes or a crushed taco. lol

This is probably the big problem to Dawntrail plot imo, Tural wasn't invited to the end of days event.

The Final Days never happened in Tural because it's just not possible to fully despair in close proximity to alpacas.

every play through I try something new like pure faith and then just come back to two handing a strength weapon

Some weapons better power stanced, some are better two handed. Power stancing is generally better with faster weapons that hit simultaneously, especially if they also apply bleed. Also just a note, while twinblades have an overall better moveset two handed, their power stanced jump attacks are rly op for bleed builds

Definitely felt the same way. I originally beat the game while power stancing great hammers, but spamming the jump attack all the time just to get a hit in just felt so boring. The only heavy weapons I power stance now are the Omenkiller clubs just because it's lore accurate.

Only weapons that are better using powerstance are Straight Swords, Curved Swords and Thrusting swords.

I prefer powerstancing for Straight Swords, Curved Swords, Daggers(other than the ones with erdsteel dagger heavy attacks), Spears, and Greatspears. When I use a powerstanced builld, I like to go for a high poise high defense multi hit build. Like I buff noth weapons with dual braggarts roar, buff with Golden Vow and Flame Grant me Strength and just press L1 to win. I will often endure against bosses and do a bunch of multihits to build up a lot of status and fast. For most weapon types, even Katanas I prefer Two handing. Sometimes, but rarely I use an off hand seal when I use my weapon one handed, example my Messmer cosplay

The dawntrail MSQ feels like something that should have taken place over the course of the entire X.0-X.3 expansion arc. So many things literally just weren't given the time they deserve.

I'm so glad some of them opted to uninstall the game, makes more room for new, less elitist players

I'm in this video and I love it lol Exactly my experience with the first half of the expansion, with the second half (and the final trial) killing my will to play entirely. A friend has been trying to convince me to reinstall (he hasn't played the MSQ yet, poor soul) and he still hasn't succeeded.

5+ hours is a bit generous. That guy went from an irredeemable asshole who was guilty of multiple instances of kidnapping, attempted murder, and releasing an ancient monster capable of torching half a country, to our sad best friend in less than half a zone. I get that he has a sad backstory, but that boy was laughing and smiling throughout all of those crimes.

Not once in the msq before did I feel unmotivated to finish. I've even replayed arr and HW. I would say arr is a solid c+. It has pacing issues in 2.0, but mostly it's a good time. Dt though I actively considered skipping cs a few times. I had been a fan of using duty suuport for first time story dungeons to add favor. I stopped doing that for trial 2 and the last 2 dungeons. Please just let me do a single dungeon with having to babysit Wuk. I loved the zones, music, combat, and some of the world building. But boy did Wuk really ruin it for me in the story.

But second half? She has no right still being the focus of the story. My girl krile is done dirty since the second half of DT should be about her.

I lost my steam to complete the MSQ at level 92. I got it's early access - Never doing that shit again - Just to play it because it was the first expansion that came out that I COULD play day 1. I had to catch up for Endwalker. It was such a bitter disappointment, I'm not even excited for the next patch.

How could he not tell that we were a strong fighter like his father did as soon as he saw us after fighting estinien. Every single warrior there could have. I know that we are on a new continent but if the past expansions had people who didnt even know us can tell we have been through some shit, been through major battles and the like.
