Chell (the main character) is the obvious choice for the Cosplay unless you're going to suprise us as GLADoS (the AI) some how ha Portal 2 is alot longer than the first don't worry, the first game was a small project by a small team which Valve then acquired for a bigger second game. I can't wait for you to meet the characters in Portal 2 😊

With a world like this, I start to wonder about it`s ecology, natural formation, those kinds of things. Whimsey likes theorising about the lore, I`m interested in the scientific stuff about a world. Yes it is called Final FANTACY, but if you think about it, it really is an alien planet.

Ellen McLean, (voice of GlaDOS) is an Opera singer. She sounds a little different in the credits song, but its the same person. (And the same character). She also voices the turrets, and shows up as a voice actor in a couple of other Valve games.

You are very good at portal and puzzles. Most let's players I've seen get stumped for some time on more than a few puzzles.

Anyways, some facts you were curious about: -"GlaDOS" is spelled that way because it means Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System. -This game started (half)life as a simple test for weapons/physics testing in the Half-Life universe -"The cake is a lie" was a MASSIVE, year+ long meme after this game released. -Be sure to check out the back offices and [REDACTED, just to be safe]'s messages again before playing Portal 2! Especially that date on the calendar you saw 🙂

Very good play-through. You got through the game faster than I ever did. My only issue was the frequent apologizing; it's ap uzzle game, and puzzles are meant to be hard. You aren't supposed to magically know what to do when you first get to a test chamber. You did very, very well; there's nothing to apologize for. Further, dropping the cube through the portal near the missile turret isn't stupid. Things like that happen to everyone. That's one of the joys of a physics-based game. I'm quite amused by your finding parts of the game easy. I had the devil's own time when I first played. The final fight was the source of much prolonged frustration until I _finally_ figured out what the heck I was supposed to do. 😀 Since you liked this, I really think you'd enjoy _Portal 2_ even more. It's like this, but more--including more easter eggs and cheeky references. Incidentally, if you do want a more horror-like experience in _Portal,_ look into the mod _Error._ It transforms the original game into a psychological horror experience. The familiar test chambers and puzzles are still there, but the atmosphere is dramatically altered to create a feeling of dread. The Aperture Science facility is quiet and dark, making it feel like you shouldn't be there. Another mod to look into is _Isolophobia,_ which explores the "liminal space" trend, giving players a lonely, atmospheric experience through a more open-world take on the game. It’s less overtly horror-focused than _Error,_ but it also aims to evoke a sense of unease and isolation. There are just _gazillions_ of mods out there for the game, but I honestly think these are two of the best and most interesting. 🏳‍🌈🖖

Love this game, my favourite puzzle game is also in 1st view mode, it's The Witness that you should try (it needs patience)

Scarecrow's fear explanation around 22:00 is so silly. You just have to take 30 seconds to plot out hypothetical consequences to show he's wrong. He's supposed to be incredibly intelligent, but that theory is dumb. By his logic, if fear is the only motivator in life, then a person without fear would never go the doctor to preserve their health. Shoot them, and they'd just stand there and bleed to death, because they wouldn't be afraid of dying. Does that seem even remotely plausible, or logical?

This game was a major part of gaming culture when it released ("The cake is a lie!!!" was _everywhere_ at the time) and it's magical to see someone discover it for the first time unspoiled. So glad you enjoyed it! For cosplay, there's Chell, the Companion Cube, one of the processing orbs you broke off of GLaDOS, a turret, or you could put some of the hidden room scrawl on your face with makeup pencils.

Portal is a fantastic game. Somehow, Portal 2 is even better. It's bigger, longer, more story, more humor. You're going to absolutely love it.
