it seems there is no seal for the gap between the big plate and the valve sticking out in the center , how does it prevent water from getting into the gap?

Sweet! Use 2 screws instead of 1 when mounting it so they don't rotate

Where did you buy those rails? Ihav3 a dewalt also and have been wanting to make something like this. If you have pdf plans, I would appreciate it. What's the dimensions?

The aluminum rails are "J-Channels" and I grabbed them from Home Depot, but any hardware store should have them! I don't got digital plans, but my measurements are width of circular saw +1 inch on either sides, the length I went for is 5 FT. Cheers!
