Good to see a successful project. Could you install a pitcher pump on a pipe with a sand point to just pump up the water? It could be installed above the dam and the water should be safe as pumped. We used to install these shallow wells at remote sites. Good Luck, Rick

i've seen other projects where they indeed installed a shallow well at the end of the sand dams and they had water year round from it!
