I think God's greatest test for a parent is giving them a gay child. The only way to pass that test is to love your child unconditionally.

I assume people who didn’t grow up like this don’t understand how weird/uncomfortable it is talking about sex/“lust” of any kind. I wouldn’t even describe it as taboo, it’s just something you don’t do, like eating a bag of chips in a grocery store before you pay or wearing shorts to a wedding. Not bad or immoral or illegal, it just just so much easier to comply.

He gave a more gentle, loving, considerate, and kind response than my parents ever did. My heart breaks watching this. My mother is disgusted by me now. My father thinks i'm going through an apparently decade long phase. My brother has been radicalised by the alt right, and is slowly becoming less comfortable with my life. I hate it so much. I just want a parent to love me the way I love them. There is a hole in my heart, all I wanted was acceptance.

Being gay is not a lifestyle. It is just the way they are born. They do not have a choice about who they feel attracted to and like. Religions hurt people because they have evil, backward beliefs. If my son told me he was gay, I would accept him with open arms. I would love my child no matter who he dates. It would be difficult to accept, but I would accept it.

If this young man is gay and is a Christian???, it’s not between you and your parents or your family and friends!! But it is between you and the creator!! No one can tell you what to do or how to live your life but the fact of the matter is that it is a “SIN” in GODS eyes!! And it’s a law that as a Christian we have to follow!! It’s not for everybody but it comes with the beliefs and the faith!! And as a Christian you’re not to JUDGE that’s not up to you that also is up to GOD!! You are told to love everybody no matter what!!

When dad said , " I always kinda knew" I knew from a very young age my son was gay , His interests where feminine , He couldnt find anything he liked in the boys section be it toys or clothes , I did buy him barbies he called them his girls :),,and then brats and monster high Hes 25 and still loves his girls , His husband my son in Law has to pay for the Doll obsession now and i just get to see pictures of them being purdy ,

Im a trans woman and also a southerner. When i cane out the majority of my family has been really accepting. My major issue has been sociery surrounding me. I dont feel safe going to the bathroom for example. In general i just hold it til i get home

Completely supported by society, schools, and celebrated in all aspects of life. There is no opposition to homosexuality now. No one would dare speak negative words to you. Their lives could be destroyed for just caring enough about you to let you know that you’re going to hell. Not biblical hell.
