These 2 were cuter and more believable as a couple than the main couple. The main couple was not believable because the gangster was model level handsome, while the cop had monkey ears, which would've been cute, if his personality were cute, but it was not. He was obnoxious. But both Jack and Shorty, however, are simply adorable! Just one thing, does anyone know what that book is about in the last scene? Do you think it's about A. Sex? They'd already been living together so I presumed they would have already done the deed. But who knows..... I wonder if it would have been clearer if I spoke Chinese???

I'm sorry you feel that way. If it's the age difference that bothers you, would it help if I say that the current setting is at a college? Although they two met when the student was in high school, they did not fall in love until they met each other again as professor and college student.
