It's scarf, but same deal. My guess is that it came in to take my boosts, and then saw that it wasn't really dealing any damage. Of course from a player's perspective it should still always lock into an attack, but the ai is far from perfect.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that the critical hit mattered. 6:26 Mhm, I'm confused. The critical hit on Metagross actually did not matter, here is the calc: +1 Lvl 75 252+ SpA Golduck Surf (90 BP Water) vs. Lvl 72 252 HP / 4 SpD Metagross: 253-298 (95.8 - 112.8%) -- 75% chance to OHKO I also use the No rolls password, which means anything above a 50% roll will always be a kill. The Hidden Power thing was just me deciding to be silly because I was streaming the game to a friend, it had no real intention behind it lol.

I get where you're coming from, but with the way I approach fights, it wouldn't really mean that much in my opinion. I usually test a bunch of different strategies first, without actually attempting to win, to find what works best. By the time I'm doing actual serious attempts, the strategy is usually already laid out and the amount of attempts depends mostly on RNG.

I wanted a mon that didn't have op stats or an op gimmick, but has an interesting, deep and somewhat underexplored movepool. Golduck kinda hits the spot for all of that.

4:00 Honesty, this is somewhat underwhelming. The Champion of the Reborn region is too reliant on the Fairy-tale field. Hell, Shelly even had two magical seeds, as seen at 3:40 and 4:18. The solution when fighting in disadvantageous fields will always be the same. You would think that she learned from Laura and Bennett's performances at the E4, but she ignored the suboptimal outcome when you build whole teams based on certain fields.

Flora is the worst teammate for double battles in Reborn. She is just constantly trying to sabotage your chances to win. I bet that she already knew the teams of the E4. 5:40 Ah... Of course, Volcarona gets the Heat wave burn just before M-Charizard was going to be nuked by Plasma Fists. Bennett saw a glimpse of victory for a moment. Little did he know, you had a Zygarde.

4:02 Oh, that made me think of Ash's Goodra in his gym battle versus Clemont. It's been more than two years since I last watched that episode. If I am not mistaken, at the climax of that battle, the same field was used and the same resilience to attacks was observable. Goodra is living up to its name.

This might be the zenith of Reborn playthoughs. To think that such zesty strategies would be possible with this zany zoo cast, from the zebra to the zigzag raccoon. You were in the zone for this one, and it's proof that this game has yet to turn into a zombie. I doubt I would have been able to zoom through this challenge, even if I'd had a zillion years!

That Ion Deluge to cancel the Transform at 2:44 was immaculate! 4:06 Three sweeps?!? I thought that Zangoose was going to be the MVP for the E4. That was an outstanding performance! 5:36 Smart move! You switched out at 4:44 to reset the Toxic damage (I think) and survive until Abra came out.

Walrein is super naturally bulky and pulse2 here, so its pretty difficult to ohko. There were technically a few rolls that killed, but I use the norolls password for consistency.
