Dan, you are a role modelf or all to see....you're genuine, reasonable, empathetic, a lover of humans. You can teach many how to hear and listen to all of our diverse world, so that we can all move for the greater good! Thank you!

There are no words to describe my appreciation and respect for this beautiful skater and artist on ice. Among the men with quad jumps but a noticeable lack of artistry, Jason is definitely figure skating. No mater how hard the skills the jumpers( not skaters in my eyes) have, the things they do are far from performing. Jason is the only competitor delivering with such raw powerful feelings and perfect execution. You can feel his heart and soul out there in every note. He's gifted to speak to us through performing and I'm thankful he loves to share his beauty on ice with everyone. How marvelous he is! Hats off to my beloved Jason.

Nathan Chen in the competition got really over scored, he's insanely good but when he did that really under quad lutz in the short or did hold his camel, they still gave it to him, which is;t very fair and it makes me mad.

Being in person and seeing something on TV are completely different. Even being a few rows back from the ice in person is different than being up close. I was front row at this competition and watched not only Nathan's performance but the rest of the skaters. Many questionable calls were made. You can't judge something as subtle as a quarter turn landing on a jump or the edge on a spin from your living room or from 20 rows back. That said, judges make mistakes and are human. Believe me, the judges seemed to miss things for skaters NOT at Nathan's level in my opinion. I think it just happens. I think you have a point that champions are given the benefit of the doubt. I think this is true especially at US Nationals where it is a non-ISU event and competitors from other countries are looking at our people's scores in preparation for an international competition. That's just part of the sport and all countries do this. Sad but true.

@@danmolino9315 Agreed, I really wish the judges would utilize slow-motion replays more often to make the judging process more objective.

Nathan is not only a genius, he's naturally graceful. He once stated that when he was younger his two older brothers picked on him, because he was a skater. I'm sure that, now in 2022, his brother's are eating crow. This 22yr old man broke an all time record. Love you, Nathan! We're so proud of you.

Elena - Posting this was an honor. I am so grateful to attend this event. Only a handful of people got to hear his wonderful words. I think maybe he had some notes in front of him but for the most part this seemed very genuine, straight from the heart and not a prepared and rehearsed speech.

Thank you for this! Would you mind if I made a transcript so it's easier for his international fans to understand? (Also, did you catch the name of the person he thanked after Priscilla Hill)?

I did not catch the name from the video. I didn't catch it live, in-person either. It sounds like a Russian name and from the context this person may have passed away.
