I am very much in agreement about a a certain amount of time after the last note has been played. It is a Holistic experience in my Mind. over the last 20 years ago or so here in the U.S. i experienced as a player and when i am a Listener that in popular Music shouting and other sounds became too much of the Norm to let the Performer know how exiting it was. and i understand that too , but to a certain degree. pf course in a Classical Music setting that beautiful silence during and after the Piece is ended, is a Purifying Ritual. Schiff is so in tune with with all of that.
