This one was badly bugged in the original and made the entire thing awkward there was no cutscene just some badly timed audio playing, like Ereba listening to Chars last poem, which should have got the same treatment. So its a shame not to see more of it in the LE.

how do you usually get raul to use anything other than his magnum? i always give him lever action guns but he equips them OUT of combat lol then when i need him to use it he swithces to the magnum

Companions can only use guns they have ammo for, other than their personal weapon, so you have to give them ammo alongside the weapon you want them to use, and giving them a gun that uses the same ammo as their personal weapon won’t work either as the companion weapons are unique and use “magic companion ammo” instead of their normal ammo

On this playthrough I just did I noticed a lot more random wild life like how it was in 3. Only New Vegas doesn't really have that random system like 3 did for it's creatures. It's more like set areas for their monsters to roam and hunt and all that. Mainly it was Golden Geckos, Vicious Dogs and Mantis that are in places I usually just never see so that was mainly why I thought it was interesting because it's usually the big set areas like the Windwill Farm for the Cazadores or the obvious like Quarry Junction for Deathclaws.
