I know this song might not be entirely about loss but the lyrics hit really hard because it's exactly what I'm feeling after losing a precious family member. I loved this song before it all happened but it has an entirely different meaning now. It's somber and gentle, and it breaks me🎉🎉

I am going absolutely insane over this song I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Hal is so mischaracterized in mainstream media as people only see him as this 'pure evil AI who hates all humans' or something, when is reality he is much more complicated than that. But this song captures the more tragic angle of his character and its done so well! You can really feel that the artist actually cares about the 2001 series and has read the rest of this books, which can't be said with a lot of other media that try and reference 2001.There is a bunch of references that only people who have seen the rest of the series besides the first movie would get. Seriously this one song shows a better understanding of Hal's character then like.....most actual film analyses I've read. It's insane. Lasah just GETS it, y'know? Plus this song is just really good in general, even if you showed it to someone who's never watched 2001 they'd still like it because the lyrics can be interpreted in a bunch of different ways. And gosh the music video is just gorgeous! I need everyone in the 2001 fandom to see this immediately! And I will most definitely be checking some more of Lasah's music! 火の鳥が元ネタなんだろうけど、私が思い出したのはノーマンだった 主人公に対して月の王子ノーマンが「君のママを僕たちにくれ」と頼むシーン 月の人々は母という存在によって、地球人の自分たちとは違う何かが理解出来るかもしれない。でもそれは他人の母親ではきっと理解し得ないもの。「自分の母親」という替えのきかない存在を欲しがる様は、本当に地球人の持つ愛を理解できていないのだと感じた。
