Not a boxer nor have I ever put on gloves, so I’m curious. What is the benefit of this training? Can’t imagine you’re ever going to be in the ring with multiple people? Is it meant to sharpen your reflexes and skills; like if you can somewhat handle yourself against 3 fighters, in theory you could handle yourself much better against 1?
@ShaunFitt
@ShaunFitt 6 ай бұрын
It’s a mental preparation drill, we train Martial arts not just for boxing in a ring or sparring but study and train the art to get ready for life in general. So this drills helps eliminate fear, helps build stamina , reflexes, helps you prepare for if you are ever out numbered in real life. You have these moments where you can answer all doubts so if and when you are in life and are out numbered you have experience to pull from. A big number of my fights growing up I was out numbered and still won all of the fights . Simply because I prepare for the unexpected. Plus also this drill for me makes it harder for me because 1 vs 1 is no real challenge any more.. so I usually end the training day like this. Like I need them to try and out fear in me so I can build myself stronger

Good you're practicing combos! But one suggestion brother, try to throw the right hand from your right leg first! Like imagine your power is coming up from your back (right) foot... Slightly turn the right foot and push off deliberately but not over exaggerated! Then imagine your power coming up your right leg thru your back muscles up to your shoulder... Then try to throw the right hand punch like there is a small bean bag on your shoulder and it's kinda like you're trying to throw that bean bag off your shoulder with the above movements starting front the right foot etc! Imagine you are trying to throw that bean bag off your shower at your opponent's face! Like if you didn't have any arms and I put the bean bag on your right shoulder and you had to try and launch it into the opponent's face or a Target whatever you want to think of and imagine how you would turn and push off with your foot and generate a very precise and deliberate energy letting it come up your leg through your back up to your shoulder and then twist and launch your shoulder and then just in reality you are going to launch your right arm as a punch instead of the bean bag being there but just use the same technique up until you are launching the bean bag in theory and then let your arm extend and come out Chrisp and straight as if it was the bean bag on its path to the Target you're trying to punch and that will generate a perfect right hand and it will give you the most power and the least telegraphing for a very powerful hit is the best way to generate the power without telegraphing your punch too much from trying to throw a haymaker punch and winding up and letting them know it's coming like a lot of people do by mistake! Good luck bro! ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼 Good work keep it up!

Yeah for sure that usually comes after I learn the combination , these videos are literally the first time I’m seeing and practicing the combination that is shown . So It’s tough for me to do correctly right away once I get the combo down then i can add the other things in like power and speed explosiveness. Also my left shoulder had surgery about 5 months ago and i currently have a sciatic nerve issue down my left leg so most of these videos I’m training without being 100% in them. So as i heal you will see me become more fluid and better and performing them. Thanks for taking the time out to write this though I agree and teach the very things you said to others also
