Hey Timmy, must be nice being the guy that caused Robert's Ridge to happen, considering you were the ground commander that demanded they be inserted by helo into Takur Ghar, I don't know if you know this, but helicopters are really loud and alert everyone and their mother when they are close. Also disregarding all the intelligence that Army and Marine elements gave you letting you know the mountains were HEAVILY fortified and that bad weather was imminent. A mission idea so dumb that the first Seal team tasked with it gave it up because they said it was a suicide mission when accounting for all the factors mentioned above. You do what YOU want and what YOU THINK is right, and it turns out to be the worst, dirtiest shjt ever. GIVE CHAPMAN HIS SECOND MOH, IT DOESN'T BELONG TO THE NAVY. DIRTBAG TIMMY.

Think I'm going to be "flamed" for this comment, but here I go, from an engineering/goal accomplishment perspective, here are the "improvements" I would make: 1. Goal: Get the officer cap on top. (why are you attacking from 4 sides? Focus on one... Concentrate your available personnel there, the edge could work, as the water/cloth that's used to wipe away the hinderance will give you two sides for your arms/palm to hang on to. Flat one sided surface are not optimal. See rock climbing) 2. Get the lightest person (female/male) to go last, don't approach/attack the goal like a flash mob running in. 3. Once you are about 15ft or less, have the 3 (lightest) person climb/stand on top of the other, and place the cap. (I see in the video that 2 different person tried to do this, focus on the one goal) Anyway...

As a chubby kid with glasses in the 1970s, I knew that I could never be an astronaut. So I went into subs (USNA 1980) instead. It was fun to hear LCDR Barron talk about how much being deployed on a boat was like being on the ISS. Also liked hearing about what food was like on subs and the ISS (and CAPT Lawrence's connection to the ISS menu!). Delightful back & forth between the two astronauts, a generation apart, comparing shared experiences and differences.

Wish you luck in achieving the recognition that the aircrew members deserved to be awarded as well..."every member of an aircrew faced the same peril, each had to perform his duties, and each generally shared the same fate". Great presentation. Thanks so much.

Great presentation- a sober and convincing case why the three torpedo bomber commanders deserve the Medal of Honor. The facts and primary sources unearthed by Major Rychlik cast new light on their cases.

Just witnessed a Morning Joe interview where he trashed Trump for his friend Dick Cheney. The Admiral’s mind has seen it’s better days, he made no sense, was visibly cognitively challenged, was obviously looking down reading notes, and his arguments for Trump not being a feared leader after everything Trump accomplished that he denies was pathetic. Stay in the old folks home Steve and start some much needed therapy.

Interesting piece, but it appears wholly aspirational. USNA has compromised the Honor Concept by introducing "remediation," apparently available more than once, and in all 4 years. It has eliminated discussion of the Honor Concept from BGO candidate interviews, apparently because they think later generations are morally inferior as they arrive at USNA compared to previous generations. If the Honor Concept is the minimum standard, then where is the programmatic guidance defining the relationship between the two and implementing actions. Otherwise, this is just a digital feel good statement. Interpretation and implementation appears to be left in the hands of individual midshipmen. The same group that Navy already sees as incapable of meeting the minimum Honor standard with respect to lieing, cheating, or stealing.

Give pride. Give honor. Share whatever it is you have, because no one is taking anything out of this world that they did not bring into it. And there is no "becoming" unless you have some secret that we don't. The overproduction of elites is a serious problem. There is no more room at the top of the pyramid and so you only think you're a power broker, when in fact you are a brick, or worse, a brickmaker like all of us down here who await our Moses.

My roommate got kicked out youngster year. He didn't rat out anyone else, and none of the cowards came to back him up. It was a whole platoon of mids who did the deed in question. So I don't have a good memory of the honor concept, the honor squad, the knock on the door at night and all that. In fact, it made me wonder. And when my other roommate got kicked out for academics and performance that too soured my outlook. I myself, me, me, me, I kicked ass and graduated near the top of the class. But I never forgot that the dudes who preach the loudest are the biggest frauds. To me that's the honor takeaway. Out in the fleet its the same. The careerists and the liars float like oil to the top. Gundecked quals, favors to defense contractors, faked training stats, faked objectives in war, bias confirmation, sucky machinery (who remembers the Humvee which looked cool but had no armor. So many disabled vets I met could speak to that.) Unreliable gear led to the death of my XO. The worst is not doing anything of risk so you don't fail. How about the Soviet style officer ranking system. 4 out of 4 in a very competitive field. Has to be that way. It's a pyramid system. Who's in charge is life or death. In Afghanistan it was the Taliban then the Karzais then the Taliban again. Reagan's support of the Jihadist Mujahideen led to the rise of the Taliban in the first place, with plenty American weapons. Still happening. What about the uncleared mine fields. BZ. Did nada in Yemen which is all beachfront. Let everyone die. Not even a freaking hospital ship. Go Navy. SEALS got Bin Laden. Good intel. But do mountains of nothing all day. Write best sellers on leadership. Can u tell I pissed? I deeply regret not going to bat for my bros. I miss you guys. Capt Rimmer, you sound like a real piece of works. Mental health includes not being a narcissist.

We need to know when this man left Exelon for TXU/EFH! The story there is that TXU had a large chunk of the Texas power grid. Their stock killed it from 2004-2008 because of the increase in natural gas prices. TXU had a few old coal plants, one nuclear plant, and about half natural gas. They suffered a buyout by KKR, who had long wanted to own a power company, with Goldman Sachs and other venture capitalists providing "leverage" in the largest corporate buyout of American history! The newly formed company was called Energy Future Holdings. It did not do well. Natural gas went down with increased fracking. Coal became unpopular for polluting. EFH eventually went bankrupt in 2014, reforming again into a company called EFH and some other companies. Don't give the American public spin.

Art is powerful. Sculpture, painting, poetry, non-fiction writing, woodworking and other crafts (not an exhaustive list!) can help veterans heal! Some of the best work being done these days is by veterans. And when the enemy is at the gates, the first objects to save are the cultural treasures, for by such things a nation can be defined. What are our cultural values these days? Can artists hep express the balance between the public good and the sacredness of the individual? Love to RADM Stocks and others who continue to serve in multiple capacities, for our nation depends on several kinds of defense!
