0 processed carbs, 0 processed sugars, 0 wheat, 0 gluten, 0 grains and 0 dairy.... and yes they 2ill still have stuff to eqt youll just have to be creative and leqrn what foods to replace the above with

A lot of our favorite snacks these days are bioengineered. I am trying to eat healthy plus for my issues. TFS I am tired of eating the same thing every day. No we can't have apples as they are one of the three worst foods for Fodmaps. Popcorn is not good if you need low residue as well.

i have spent 10 days in completely low fodmap diet eating only rice fish and potatoes , yet my symptoms had not changed a bit , still having extreme diarrhea , though after examining me doctor prescribed me low fodmap . this thing does not work

I am so tired of this. It started after igot a virus.I got sick mid November 2023. I had bad constipation. My doctor was trying to up my thyroid med. I had an impaction. Doctor has me on probiotic. I want this to be over.

Now I’m totally confused. I thought mozzarella sticks. We’re ok to snack on. Now you saying don’t eat mozzarella sticks? Btw I’m 61yrold man my dietitian put me on the low fod map for my severe IBS issues I’ve had all my life. For snacks I like Black Forest slice of ham wrapped in havarti cheese. Celery topped with all natural peanut butter.

yeah my best friend is 14 and she has ibs and cronhs and it's a mriacle if she can show up to school and she is taking meds to deal with it

So lactose is the issue with dairy so if its lactose free or naturally low lactose it fits under low fodmap. Also you are correct the monash app changes because they're always updating it. Feel free to ask me anything else ❤

This is all confusing to me. First off, I’ve never heard of this before, ever. Second, I was told I can have most fruits and quite a few vegetables also. But the paperwork I was given has the same foods in both lists. Some that I know give me gas but others I’m not sure about as it’s been in combination with other foods. Idk, I just wished he would have explained it a little more. It was a highly stressful day when I went to the doctor to begin with. I wasn’t retaining all the information he was sharing with me. When I asked the nurse as I was scanning over it, I saw that I couldn’t have my yogurt. Yogurt usually doesn’t give me gas or bloating. If nothing else, it could be the stuff I put in it. But as I’ve stated, I know my issues are mainly from stress and anxiety. Not being able to completely relive myself from going to the bathroom. I just thought I could start taking gas pills. I know some people that do this and they do take more than the one suggested pill. Or what about digestive enzymes and/or probiotics? Wouldn’t that work? I know it has for me long ago. It cured my chronic heartburn.

I am going to type this out like I have many times before but for IBS-D the cure is methadone. It slows the transit time down in the colon so it does not spasm causing the cramping, bloating, ect ect ect I've been on methadone for 5 years now I can drink alcohol, soda, coffee, I can eat greasy foods, red meats, stress does not set off an attack basically no IBS anymore (NOTE) this only works for IBS-D not IBS-C I am on 8mg which is a very low dose you can Google methadone if you don't know what it is but it definitely made my quality of life go from a 5/10 back to a 10/10 🙌

How much of the problem is actually the FODMAP per se, and how much is the Oxalic Acid (Oxalate) overload of many vegetables ? I am listening to Sally K. Norton's book, 'Toxic Superfoods', and I am eliminating all high Oxalate foods out of my quarters today. Aarre Peltomaa

The list of fodmap says not to eat apples, but then for diarrhea apples are supposed to help. What should we do?

In my experience, we don't recommend apples for diarrhea. They commonly contribute to loose stools.

What about brown rice crackers can cause inflammation because is high in fiber and when on flare for IBD causes more inflammation

My 8 year old was diagnosed ibs this week and just started having bowl accidents he is so embarrassed he says he just can't get to the bathroom fast enough and his stomach hurts after . He is on nexium . I'm wondering if I should take him off that and just do fodmap since nexium isn't helping . The dr. Said try no cows milk ???? Any tips ? Any supplements I should be adding in daily for him with doing fodmap?

I can’t tell if I have ibs or not. But I do have some symptoms for it and I’m a bit nervous. I’ve been getting more constipated and my stomach would make these loud gurgling noises. I think I’ll try and talk to my mom about it.

I'm like 9 but about to turn 10 in 3 more days and I'm struggling with IBS my parents try to help me but my stomach and bottom always hurts 30 or more or less seconds and minutes I mean it just hurts so bad when I try to push it out.

I used to think i did well on red meat, actually to the point where it's virtually all I ate and I've noticed that I'm still bloated and constipated, but I thought that it was something else I mightve eaten or drank, but seeing your comment made me reflect and start to re-evaluate whether I should continue to eat red meat.

@@actorsinsider9967 Hi ! Try ground beef i do i eat meat loaf and i do fine. But red meat as in steak NO ! Hen does that to me sugar free products like coffee creams gives me pain on my left side of my intestines. I get bloated. I only use Organic Stevia. I can tolerate 1 cup of wheat bran cereal also a Pepsi Zero. Experiment like me. Wishing you lucky 🍀 keep in touch. Experiment and let me know. Ida

It's the iron in the red meat that is constipating. Sometimes more fiber and water can counteract. Psyllium is a good low-FODMAP fiber.
