Nice illegal system job they did on that, left the clamp on instead of putting on a maintenance port. Pretty sure that's up to a $500,000 fine.

Well, the only sort of trick is to cut the bigger pieces that you need to remove into a bunch of smaller ones. It takes longer, but you're less likely to break things.
@vengeance18711 жыл бұрын
That's the hard part. There isn't any trick that I know of to keep them from breaking, you just have to be careful. It's easiest for me to start with the shallowest/darkest parts, and then work deeper to the deepest/lightest parts. I use the hobby/X-acto knife for most of it.

that's awesome last question how do you keep the pieces of pumpkin from braking in very thin spots and what tool do you use for cutting thin spots
@vengeance18711 жыл бұрын
There's 4 shades: the skin, ~1/4" deep, ~1/2" deep, and I usually go all the way through on the lightest shade but I decided not to on this one to see how it turned out, so on this one the lightest shade is about 3/4" deep(except a few small holes that are all the way through). I use the router attachment to set the depth. I also use a regular pumpkin carving saw with my fingers holding the blade at a certain point to make sure it doesn't cut any deeper than that.

How many layers are there? It looks like thes still some pumpkin skin but you never went all the way through? How do you control the color in all those areas to create the shading
@vengeance18711 жыл бұрын
It takes me about 15 hours. Some carvings take 30. I used a dremel with the cheap router attachment it comes with, hobby knife, and some custom scrapers I made out of a clothes hanger; but you can buy clay loops for that.

how long did that take? what tools did you use to etch

lol I don't think you can take a puppy home at 2 weeks. She's 2 months here. She will be 3 years old in November. She weighs maybe 2.5 lbs now.
