We rented a car. I wouldn’t recommend it if you never driven in Jamaica before. If it’s your first time to the island book the transportation/transfer with the hotel what they’ll do is send a bus to the airport and it’ll be a safe way to get to the hotel as you’ll be with a larger group of people all checking in at the same time. Same for the excursions just book them through the front desk they’ll organize a bus for everyone. I don’t have information on pricing however. Do not take a taxi if it’s just you! Only do a taxi if it’s a group of you traveling. As for the room we chose a junior suite pool view room to be a little closer to the beach.

it's like $90USD per person. No separate fees just the fee to do the river rafting.

You should be able to eat at all the restaurants only one we saw by the beach was privilege only the rest are open to all guests you’re not missing much and matter of fact your check in time should be faster without the privilege vacation package upsell that eats into your precious vacation time

depends on your driver but we did it in 4 hrs when google maps said 3hrs. If you hire a driver the new toll road is particularly nice but most of the drivers drive slower than what were used to.

15:46 in the video shows what we googled. we left the hotel at 6:45am and was walking into the taj mahal at 10:41am

Never went to the club unfortunately but judging by the entertainment staff on the grounds in the evening I suspect it's a lot of dancing.
