Hi. If the guideline specifies choosing an extract from the text, then why do you need to 'go wide' and focus outside of that chosen extract? Doesn't that kind of defeats the whole point of choosing an abstract? Or, say, for the literary piece, must you include two extracts from different sections of the text?

hey guys, what do you mean when you say you want to think about the navigation menu (1:05)? what exactly are we supposed to be thinking about when it comes to the navigation menu? isnt it just an accessibility thing? for example in 3:28, you say that through the nav menu you can see the different pages that invites readers to look at. but so what and is that all we can say about it? how might that impact readers or help achieve the authors purpose?

The videos are incredibly helpful! However, I am a bit confused regarding how to structure a paper 1 essay...some structure it in terms of devices used, some analyze chronologically. I watched the sample p1s you provided, and there seems to be no spesific "rule" with how the structure should be. I wonder how you teach your students to structure their essays! If possible, would you also consider making a video on it?

Would you say it makes sense to look at the similarities and differences in one paragraph or analyse in one paragraph per text and then look at the similarities and differences in another paragraph simultaneously
