i am planning a family of four holiday in April, would you say its a good choice re: location and sight seeing?
@ianpaynetravelКүн бұрын
@@bellaoccie it’s not exactly in the middle of the sights, 649m or 9 min walk from Vauxhall underground station so doable, you could even take a taxi to Vauxhall or to whatever sight you wanted, hotels more central are going to be more expensive at the same level you’ll find at park plaza, so this hotel is fantastic bang for your buck, you could find somewhere more central for the same money but it will be a much lower level, holiday inn sort of level Enjoy your trip and watch out for the pick pockets and phone snatchers.

One of my dealbreakers when looking at lower rate hotels in European countries is television related. All the following TV related things irk me: when they mount the tiny TV up high in the corner; when the TV is placed on a wall far away which means you have to sit in bed and watch with your head turned to the side; when you pay for a suite upgrade but they only have one TV which you have to sit on a crummy little sofa in the other room to watch rather than being able to luxuriate in bed and watch. When high end hotels like The Dorchester or the Beverly Hills Hotel don't provide kettles and teabags in the room that is just beyond...WHYYYYYY?! You pay over a grand a night and they don't give you milk, a kettle and tea/coffee in the room?! Also charging 3 or 5 Euros for a bottle of mineral water in a more upmarket hotel/suite upgrade is insulting too. I won't even get into the trend of yanking out bathtubs and installing shower cubicles instead or deciding to plonk the bathtub in the hotel room itself, right near the bed. How many levels of wrong...my goodness. Oh well, my fierce one-woman crusade continues... Thanks for showing me this hotel and filming the proportions and features so well. For the price point it looks like a great place to stay. Would you recommend the location of this hotel? I'll only be in Prague for a long weekend so plan to do most things on foot. Thanks again Ian. 🛫🗺🛌🛍🛍
@ianpaynetravel14 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching and your appreciation, I hope you’ve subscribed, For TVs, I don’t ever watch them but understand there those that do so always try and measure them. The Kings Court would be ideal for you for getting places on foot, it’s a prime location in Prague, also the metro exit is right outside the entrance, like 10ft, there’s a large shopping mall across the street (Fantastic Indian Restaurant) and it’s near the end of a major shopping street, the bed is amazing, the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, you literally sink in to it. You can book a hotel car for the airport transfer for 990 CZK All in All, the level of luxury and location for the price makes it fantastic value for money No1 tip would be don’t bother with cash, you can use your card for everything,

Thanks for the appreciation, yes you simply pay at the breakfast reception desk, it's currently £22 per person, you could also let the check in agent know you'd like to do this once and I'm sure they'll apply it to your room, enjoy your stay, if you ever visit Prague feel free to see my hotel videos from there.

Do they offer adapters for their electrical outlets, or do you have to have your own?
@ianpaynetravel2 ай бұрын
Glad you asked that Yuri, I forgot to show that the suite I stayed in actually did have UK to Euro adaptors in the bedside draws, but didnt see any US adaptors, this is actually rare, it's the first time I've seen adaptors in any hotel, the the double room I looked at after, I see i checked 1 side of the bed and there wasn't one in the draw so I can only assume there are only offered in the suites. But in any case I would recommend taking an adaptor with you, I also bring a 1m extention multi socket with me too as some hotels I've been to the sockets are under the bed side unit and some hotels don't even have a bed side socket, so this hotel is a real bonus having the sockets where they are.

I had the pleasure of staying there for three nights earlier this month. Pretty good hotel! BTW when i was there there was an "burning" VW Golf in front of the shopping centre which seems to be some art project. Interesting to see it was already there when this video got filmed.

Great you enjoyed your stay Victor, since then I've become more in depth and critical, since my stay here I discovered the Corinthia (Now Grand Hotel Prague Towers) In the same price bracket, but trumps the Panorama in every area, especially the exec lounge, the pool, spa, gym, breakfast, bars, convenience. I highly recommend giving it a try on your next Prague trip, I have made 2 in depth videos there if you'd like to take a look.

This was my go to hotel in Prague for about 15 visits since 2019, I chose it for the easy transport links, but currently my favourite hotel is now the Grand hotel Prague towers, previously the Corinthia, even less of a walk to the metro, a massive breakfast array so you should be catered for, i've made 2 videos of this one, feel free to take a look.

What is the price of the ticket ? From the airport to the main train station for adultes, children? Thanks
@ianpaynetravel4 ай бұрын
Hi, A 1 way ticket on the Airport express bus is 100czk (3.96 Euros) child is 50czk (1.98 Euros), Under 6 is free, where the 59 Bus and metro is 40czk (1.58 Euros) for a 90 minute ticket, and again the same discounts apply for child (6-15 years) half price and free for under 6, and about the same time in travelling, it's convenient if you're getting a train and don't want to connect at Muzeum, still, I would take the 59 bus and metro in all cases, enjoy your trip.

1:05 And what is that huge text in CAPSLOCK saying "NO CITY CENTER DEPARTURES"?
@ianpaynetravel4 ай бұрын
Thats one of the stops that is for dropping off, so if you are coming from the main station, Veleslavín or one of the other routes, you'll arrive at these stops, they are not for boarding. For boarding it will be the higher lettered stops directly behind me, in the case of this bus, the AE (Airport express) it also dropps off in the lower section and then goes to stop G to board. It's actually twice as expensive as the 59 bus and metro, which i'll be taking tomorrow afternoon so will shoot a 59 bus Airport to Veleslavín full journey.

Have you gone to the evening buffet style dinner?
@ianpaynetravel5 ай бұрын
We did go to one, it was either the lunch or dinner buffet, I can't recommend it, there were meat on the bone selections there, which I don't like, there were no meat selections for those that prefer lean cuts of whatever, but I do recall everything was below par, even my Belarusian girlfriend didn't like it. We were given vouchers by the manager for this, if I had paid for it I would have felt robbed. That chinese restuarant accross the street is rubbish too, stay away. Most of our time there we got Wolt deliveries.
