No one really understands how much ESPN lost by letting go of Katie Nolan. That vibrant bubbly persona no longer exists on that space anymore. I love Mina and Sarah, but they don't have the energy and life Katie brought. ESPN really dropped the ball there!

@Michael R in short, it's because ESPN really no longer caters to casual sports fans; only the ardent fans who'd rather listen to people break down zone coverages and know the best strategy on a pop fly rather than just having people bring humor and life into the games. I think Katie appealed to the more casual moderate fan. Not that I don't find Mina and Sarah very knowledgeable and entertaining, they're just different.
