my advice to you would be not to strum with your fore arm but more so with your wrist. i know Kurt strummed really exaggeratedly, but he didn’t use just his fore arm for his technique, he also used his wrist which every guitarist should do.

i always thought that you should use your wrist for like non-strum for example during the chorus, idk what people call it but yeah. i learned that you shouldnt use your wrist for power chords/strumming
