My heart almost stopped when the soldier shot Emma 😢

There is frankly NO reason to ever take any weapon skill above E*, the maximum "Average Weapon Level" for the last few battles of the Emma storyline. You win the final battles by using Blackout skill against the Imaginary Number Boss's "Prevent Loss" (which annoyingly procs every time you hit his BODY), not by sheer weapon damage!

*Except you DON'T want to do this if you want all-platinum* 🏅!!! Letting your "Average Weapon Level" get above a predetermined value (only available if you're using a guidebook) for each level incurs a _minimum_ penalty of -12%, enough to knock you out of contention for almost all Platinum medals, unless you score bonus points by eliminating enemies you didn't need to fight (late arriving reinforcements, for example). Keeping skills levels across the board at or near that Average is a really tricky balancing act! If you don't care and are doing an "any%" run and just want to cruise...sure, go ahead!

Nah, higher skills level make the game easier thus lower your rankings. having single character with S weapon level and surely you can say goodbye to Platinum ranking. -15 weapon level. I always change the weapon every time the ranking surpassed the enemies level. Like if the enemies rank on D, you shouldn't use weapon higher than D level.

If you want to kill them all, make them all wield shotgun or machine gun, have com6 (yes computer with no special effects, it have good skills activation rate and fairly good combo link) and equipped them all with ROFUP I x6. they will have a good chance comboing ROFUP in every turns. But if you want easier and probably the easiest method, have them all equipped with melee wanzers and equipped them all with 6x Eject punch, and a high activation computer, and make sure they wield nothing but bare hand and a shield. This is because you don't want enemy wanzers to get damage, you only want the pilot to eject. once they ejected, use next character to board that wanzer, because once you board their wanzer, they will not board it again even if you leave their wanzer. imaginary numbers are nothing without their wanzers.

Bro, first you learn EXP x3 skill in simulator, on 4 pilots, and than equip the skill, and than you grind skill levels... :D edit : One of the best games ever! There are at least two Front Mission games releasing this year, 2022. Front Mission 2089: Borderscape looks almost finished! And there is some nice trailers and gameplay for Front Mission 1st: Remake.
