The amount of shite players he had to contend with. He must have found it tough at times. Suarez said the pressure was nearly unbearable for him during his stint as the top man for around 2 years because so much rested on him. Gerrard had to do it for 15 as captain.everyone relied on him to come up trumps and deliver goals,assists, trophies and match winning performances.

Respected that liverpool team. It was bs that people said they didn’t have good enough players. Their starters were all just as good but their depth let them down. Gerrard, Xabi, Carra, Torres, Garcia, Rise, Mascherano, etc.

Gerrard was spontaneous. His long range passing was pretty impressive, his link up play was beautiful to watch, he was also really good holding on to the ball and dictating play. One of the most balanced player ever, if not the very best
