I love movies and they entertain me and I love the history of film. It just is so interesting. I wanna analyze films, but I am a little slow. I have autism and ADHD and I wasn’t properly educated. A lot of the words you said here went over my head. Is there some help for someone that struggles with reading and writing but loves film? I want to understand them better, what makes them good, what makes them bad, and why I like them. I just have a hard time. Thank you for your video!

I'm here in 2024 bc I'm interested in film preservation. I'm 40 and only have a G.E.D. My fear tells me I'm not good enough, I'm not smart enough, I'm not rich enough. Also that I'm too old. But my heart tells me that old films are my passion and I'd love nothing more than to do my part in saving them. Here's hoping I get to achieve my dream career. God bless 🙌

This was an amazing analysis thank you. I have a question - how does the aesthetic personality (i.e. Jesse) go about adopting an ethical personality? Should they even do so, or would that result in resentment so instead they should go about life embracing that aesthetic immediacy without the pressures of familial life?

thinking of taking creative writing or film study for this spring. I'm already taking 211 writing so I don't think I wanna deal with anymore writing and film studies seems fun. I already have background in creating videos as self taught so I think this could help with that. We will see

rich in depth analysis and well cited. Impressive video. I am becoming a big fan of Benning as I became interested in his work last year in my freshmen year in film school. One film i recommend for anyone who lives in the united states is James Benning - the United States of America(2021). That was the first film i got into. To quote your video which will be the amazing way I will explain why anyone and why I enjoy Benning's work-- "The sheer length of each shot presents an exercise in perception. The closer you pay attention, the more information you will glean. This is a vital dimension of benning's films and a way in which he strives to challenge his viewers ways of looking and listening. Once this challenge has been accepted and met halfway and an endlessly enriching viewing experience soon follows !!!!"

I feel like Jesse is a narcissist and Celine is a realist who outgrows her infatuation with him once they actually live together.
@DeepScreenAnalysis

One thing I noticed about Jesse is that he is quietly controlling and passive aggressive. That’s why Celine eventually finds him unbearable by the third movie. I think you captured that very well in this analysis.
