This was back before you had computer software so no autotune. Even synthesizers were brand new at the time and they weren't that great like they are today. They also recorded songs differently back then like they didn't usually mice the drums like they do today so that's why you don't hear the bass if you had an equalizer you could bring it out by boosting those frequencies

The Beatles are considered the greatest group in pop history but not because every song is great, far from it.. They themselves admitted a lot on their albums were 'padding'. They're amazing because there are some incredible songs to be discovered on each album. If anyone heard 'Oh Darling' then 'I Want You, She's so Heavy and then 'Because' it's hard to believe it's the same band who performed 'She Loves You' just a few years previously. They took the world on a musical journey through the 60s and made music what it is today. Their undying popularity over 6 decades is astounding ...and once you find those gems on the albums you can really appreciate how they were the first to produce such great music.
