My Dad was a gigging musician in Liverpool in the 60's and 70's, one night his three wheeler Robin Reliant broke down on the way home to `Runcorn and he had to flag a taxi down to get him and his gear home. The taxi driver had 2 kittens in the front seat he was trying to offload so my dad who was in the doghouse with my Mam took one, the taxi driver claimed he was Ringo Starrs cousin so we named the kitten Ringo! Had that kitten/cat for a very long time until an unfortunate encounter with the `milkman's float 🐯😢
